I just found out there was a badge for participating in the story contest and it feels really bad. :( There was no indication that it existed, I would have submitted something had I known and now it's gone forever.

How many chapters was it? It sounds like a "forced to say yes" kind of story, which I think generally does well on CHYOA, depending on the content involved.

It's about the "likes" for me, that's how I measure it.

Damn, it's tough seeing this thread. I remember reading your works when I was in high school, back on the old CHYOO site. The sparse time-stop and ENF content on the site is what convinced me to start writing. You should definitely take a break if you're feeling burnt out, no need to force yourself.

I probably would never do it, if even one fan would ever be disappointed about losing the way a chapter was originally written, I would feel bad. If it's very minor changes (sentence restructuring, grammar fixes, etc), then yeah, whatever. I just don't want a reader to come back, perhaps looking...

I think criticism in public is alright, so long as it's not excessive or mean. It may embolden other users who believe in that criticism, but are too shy to say anything. Then the writer may see that a larger portion of their readership feels a certain way. Hell, maybe there could be a "Like"...

Sometimes I favorite a new story without liking it and check back later to see if it was worked on. If it's still barebones I unfavorite it.

I use images pretty extensively, so much so I call my stories "picture books". My stories have been pretty well received so I have to assume a large portion of CHYOA readers can at least tolerate images, if not are a fan of them. I also have some stories that don't have as many pictures or use...
