I've played with Novelai some.
The writing on the newest model is pretty good but its memory is horrible. That drags it down after a few paragraphs unless you babysit the crap out of it.
I could see feeding a few paragraphs of a story in just to see where the model takes it but you're not...
Back when I was prolific (that was years ago), I'd slowly write a couple chapters during the week and set them aside, then do a last edit pass Saturday and release them.
Different folks have different schedules and habits :)
Yes. A couple weeks ago I popped in here and forgot to log in. I couldn't find a lot of what I was looking for and was momentarily confused. Logging in fixed it. I guess age is good for both wine and CHYOA accounts :)
I think it depends on the story. If it's largely not non-con, it doesn't belong in that category I'd think. I would consider labeling the chapter in some way to warn the reader though if it's something coming out of the blue. I mean if it is a gothic horror story, I don't think anything is...
I've seen it done before but I don't know the rules well enough to ensure they were supposed to. I assume if you wrote it, you own copyright and can if you wish. I'm not a site admin though :)
I'm also occasionally seeing this "Error 502 Ray ID: 5f2372f2cffbc1c0 • 2020-11-14 20:23:13 UTC
Bad gateway". It looks like it may be coming off a Cloudflare server but has an image showing me and Cloudflare as fine but Chyoa with a big red X.
I figure since it's an actual error message, maybe...
The one that is annoying me the most is the system seems to really hate likes at the moment. When I hit like, the system thinks for a minute or two and pops up a red error box :(
Yes. I've seen that message, a rare 'bad gateway' error, and mentions being delayed and showing up multiple times when they do over the last day or two. The admins here are really good though, I expect it'll get cleared up soon :)
Yeah, the site has been pretty rough the last couple of days. It'll get straightened out but in the meantime, that's an excellent solution assuming readers can be coaxed to respond :)
Well, I was getting lots of errors last night when I went to bed with bad gateway errors and the like that kept me off the site for a while. This morning I'm getting a few of those but the notifications are super slow. I count it as an improvement but not perfect yet.
The admins here are really...
I was getting a lot of errors on the site last night, perhaps they've been busy hunting and smashing bugs? Either way, things are smoother this morning, and it looks like Friedman has you covered:)
I've been getting an occasional "Whoops, looks like something went wrong." and 502 bad gateway errors over the last two days. They only pop up every once in a blue moon but figured I should mention them :)
