Incidentally, the best Isekai I ever read was The Saga of Tanya, the evil. Really a cut above from what you usually expect from the genre. There is a manga as well but I reccommend the Light Novel @Curvy god fucking damnit you absolute unit, you could have just written an answer chapter Gonna just adress a few points so this doesn't devolve into reviewer reviews to reviewer reviewing reviewer BGM was admittedly a pretty close toss up between this and The Muffin Man song Why the title sucks? As a rule of thumb, if it doesn't have the word fuck in it it's probably Marcie. Marcie also likes to write words out(it is instead of it's) but that's not an exact science It might surprise you but Marcie is in fact known for sucking dick. Just look at one of the reviews on a Wilparu story. Luckily Gina is there to balance it out. Hm pacing is of course important, but I'm also not a fan of drawing scenes out that don't need to be drawn out. Obsessive use of Show don't tell is only for hacks. Why yes, I do believe it is utterly vital that we explain our complex tought process via companion posts in the comments. After all, how could be possible expect the average plebian to understand our genius otherwise? I never dabbled in game mode myself, why to complicated fo rmy feeble brain but you should be able to turn it off via the edit function I get that reference. I also got the reference in that initial greeting comment ARGH! GET OUT OF MY HEAD! Might be a good place to actually adress this. So if some non masochist author and a reviewer like each other very much, sure they can absolutely do a review. Is this where I have to admit I don't know what masochist mode is? I mean, I've seen it referenced in this thread before and I think I read about but I must have skimmed it cuz I'm not sure. But, uh, if you want to review TAM by all means, I'd never say no to any feedback! I actually can't believe anyone reads my stories at all, so yeah lol. Wait, do I have to do something? Not that I'm super busy or anything ;P I am writing more after a lazy couple of months, I hope to finish up a branch on my Steward story soonish but I am also jotting down ideas for TAM again. The next chapter is tricky because I'm not 100% sure how much further I want to go with the plot stuff post reveal. Do I want to bring the conflict in quicker? I tend to, because I can't think of non-annoying reasons for there NOT to be answers asap for the characters about what the actual fuck is going on, but I also just love the characters having a fun new relationship and falling in love. Regardless, I am working on TAM again
You just have to say Masochist Mode, or that you want Masochist Mode to be turned on, and then you can do your own reads of other masochist writers.
Masochist Mode is where you invite other writers to do their own in-character reviews of your stories. You can also do your own reviews of any story that is open to Masochist Mode.

I'm actually finishing up the chapters I need to release for July too, so I can probably only do the review by the end of the month XD Just asked for permission first lol. I would personally love to see you continue your TAM branch for as long as possible, but I also understand if you just want to tell the story you wanted to tell when you started it and not force a chapters out just because you can.
Got it, both stories featured on Gina and Marcie are now fair game Incidentally, I thought a bit how we could drum up more engagement for masochist mode and like some input My idea would be that a further requirement to be listed on MM would be to first do a review on a story that is on MM yourself. This would not retroactivly affect people already on the list. The idea is naturally to get more reviews, but also get some more people hooked on the concept. Roasting can be surprisingly fun once you get into the swing of things. The big negative here is of course that this would mean the people who just aren't into making fun of others(do they even exist?) would be barred from MM, so I'm a bit torn if this isn't too big of a hurdle. So yeah, what d'all think about this?
I'm not against it. I'm currently working on reactions to some of the other stories. I think there is a chance it could turn some authors off, specifically those who don't want to read some of the longer stories. But then again, they have the option of choosing a shorter story.
