“Not at all. In fact, this is perfect.” Azura nodded in approval. “I too would prefer to do this quietly and it would be better if we stick together, so welcome aboard. As for making you invisible, I'll try, but it won't be full invisibility. As you demonstrated earlier when you noticed us anyone smart enough or alert enough – or powerful enough in case of supers – will see through it. So I will try to change everyone's faces, too, just in case.” It would take a bit, but they had enough time before they reached the roof – or so she hoped. Azura focused first on renewing the spell that made people overlook them, this time including Daiyu. Then focused on changing everyone's appearance, making them look like maids wearing the same uniform as Daiyu, but with different faces that were nothing like their real ones. If there was enough time she would also try to cast her flight spell and prepare a shield spell, just in case things went badly.
Amethyst Heart actually stopped. "Molesting you?" She asked surprised. "I wasn't molesting you, I did not even touch you!" She paused. "Do you... want me to molest you?" She asked curiously. She might have been taking more joy in this exchange then she was ready to admit~
A sense of rejection coursed through Jenny and she whimpered even as she took no action to prevent Davey from fondling her breasts to his hearts content. Wasn't she special? her hazy mind wondered. She had superpowers, she was a superhero! She saved people on a daily basis. She fought supervillains and protected the city. She helped out in the community. Why was she denied access when her sister was allowed? Why had Chastity abandoned her? What had made her twin so fucking horny in the other room? As she did her reps Jenny wanted to know the answers. She wanted to know why Davey didn't think she was special. She wanted to prove to him that she was. "You don't think I'm special?" she pouted as she finished with her squats, still letting Davey's hands explore her body unobstructed. "I want you to think I'm special. What do I have to do to prove I am?" she asked turning her head to look at him, "I'll do whatever it takes."
"I shall collate, while offline." The AI responds dryly, before the screen goes black. Hey, Cal. Can we meet up at some point? There's a hiccup with the album. Checking his phone, Nico sees a waiting message. Spoiler: Sorcery Roll D100: 71+10 Reaching out, Azura feels her powers enveloping herself and the other four women, illusions covering their faces, and then a layer of magic over the top making them practically invisible. As Azura prepares her shield, Daiyu steps onto the window washing platform, the wind tugging at her skirt. "Coming?" Harpy's cheeks go red as the femme fatale gets flustered. "N-No, of course not! I didn't mean 'molest' in that way! I meant the original definition - to pester or harass - not anything...unseemly." "Oh, you're plenty special, baby." Davey twists her nipples through the thin garment over her chest. "It's just, Chastity said some stuff that made me wonder if you're Platinum Room material - that you were innocent, sophisticated... A loving wife who'd never, ever think about cheating on her man." As she finishes, he slides his arm around her waist. "If Chastity was wrong, why don't you come with me to the staff locker room - it should be empty this time of day."
As the screen shuts off, Vanessa leans back on her chair and lets out a big sigh. Now how am I going to deal with this? She thought to herself, "I doubt I can bait him with advanced tech, not unless I use this engram as bait. But that's too risky, as far as I know, he has Hammer, and that speedster." The heiress mumbles, "As for expensive women..." Her cheeks turn red, Maybe I can use my superheroine identity to do it... I'm sure his goons must have shared some details about her, but... Vanessa takes a deep breath, before she goes to her room, researching about "dating apps" that deal with men seeking out supers to "date."
“Sure, let's go.” Azura tried not to stare at what the wind was exposing as she made her way to the window and joined Daiyu on the platform. I hope things go well...
It takes a few hours of searching, but eventually Vanessa finds some rumours that lead to a site that seems credible, and not like a trap for lonely, gullible men. The catch is that it requires some proof that the female supers who join are, in fact, supers.
The four women stand on the platform, which easily takes their weight, and after a few moments, they're up to the top of the building. Atop the penthouse she finds a pool area, where several scantily clad men and women are gathered, looking bored and evidently waiting for the meeting to end and their work to begin. At the far side of the roof, Azura sees two men in suits, with bulges at their hips, on either side of a door leading into the building.
Finding a site that seems credible, Vanessa starts to go through the registration process. Sighing as she changes into her costume, she pondered how she could prove herself. Will a video be enough, or do I have to go somewhere for an interview? She thinks to herself, Damn it, Octavius better be using this site. She grumbled.
So far so good... But it seems like we will have to take out the guards – it's unlikely we can just walk past them without them noticing the door opening. Looking at her companions she starts whispering, not wanting to risk any of the people there hearing her. “We should get closer and knock them out. I will take one, Daiyu will take the other, and Sapph will act as backup, in case either of us fails to take out her target right away. Leaving them alone is too risky, in case we need to leave in a hurry.” She suggested a simple plan and began silently moving towards the guards. At the same time she prepared a bolt of arcane energy that would take out a regular person or stun a weak super for a couple of seconds. It would not work on someone powerful, but as far as they knew there were no such people here.
[Bold for texting. Got it.] He groans. Everything was going so well with it too! Seeing that the message isn't immediately urgent, Nico goes about his morning routine--shower, shaving, makeup for Calista, etc.-- before responding. Do you want to meet at the studio then? I can be there soon.
Sadly, it appears like she'll have to go to an address she's quickly sent, to verify her identity as a heroine.
"Tsk." Vanessa clicks her tongue, telling Lawrence that she'll be gone for the night to follow a lead. After that, she hurriedly flies off to the address, first looking around the area from the sky to see if it was a trap. If things seemed clear, Vanessa descends to do the verification.
The girls nod, as they approach the guards. Spoiler: Stealth Combat Roll D100: Azura hears a few gasps behind her from the waiting menagerie of beautiful people, as the two guards go down - one clutching his neck, and the other seeming to be shoved against the wall. Heading into the building, Azura takes a flight of stairs leading down to the penthouse floor. Opening a door at the bottom, she sees a hallway, with an imposing pair of doors along the far end, from which she can hear the muffled sounds of speech. In front of the door are a man and a woman - also suited and clearly carrying weapons.
Of course it would not be so easy. Azura sighed. She looked at her companions questioningly, wondering if they should use the same tactic again. She did not like trying the same trick twice in a row, but sometimes it worked.
Scouting out the area, Vanessa spots several figures through the window of the aparment building she was directed to - several men, and a familiar looking blonde woman. Could it be? No, that's definitely the Golden Vixen - a retired superhero - in civilian garb.
Spoiler: Stealth Combat Roll D100: Despite the odds, Azura manages it - the two guards fall over, unconscious, allowing the magical girl access to the door. Daiyu immediately takes a glass from a nearby maid's cart and presses it against the door, and presses her ear against it. Azura manages to catch some of the talk from inside the room. "...Not what my company signed up for...Backing out..." There's a laugh, and some muffled talk, before "...Too deep now...With me or against...My army will..."
What!? What is she doing there, and out of costume? Vanessa's eyes widened, pondering why a retired hero was there. Unless... she's also auditioning? She blinks a few times, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. Calm down, you're... basically also here to do the same thing. The heiress sighed, hoping she didn't have to change out of her costume... or remove her mask.
[I wasn't confused or anything; just wanted to confirm that was correct. All good.] This better be a good reason. Calista thinks as she selects a pastel blue sundress from the closet and puts it on, covering her spartan, brown undergarments with the knee-length fabric. Who am I kidding? Being stuck doing basically nothing has been so annoying. She gives herself a quick once-over in the mirror and leaves her apartment, walking the relatively short distance to the studio nearby.
