"Alright, we can go ho-oh?" Vanessa was just about to inform Jacob that they could head back, until he pins her against the mirror. "Quite... eager aren't we?" She said with a smirk, "But not right now." The heiress places her hand on his shoulder, gently pushing him away. "Lawrence is strict about your suit's cleanliness..." She said as she leans in, "And I don't think I can hold back my voice inside this fitting room." She whispered, "So why don't we wait until we're back home, okay?"
"I'll sheath them, but they're staying with me, gigante." He tucks the karambits away at his sides as a gesture of goodwill. "And I'd like those answers now instead of after you try to kill me, thanks." He stays guarded and keeps his distance from the pale man, ready to restart the fight at a moment's notice.
"You two!-" Psychana called out to the pair of guards as she floated to the ground, her new cape billowing around her in the air. "-what are you waiting for? The alarm's been tripped and you're just standing around watching the street!? Shouldn't you be coordinating with police?" Her tone was more stern and judgemental than she'd ever used in situations like this before. Clearly her anger was still getting the better of her. "Whatever your procedure is get to it. I'm heading inside to stop whomever's in there." With a huff she lifted herself back into the air and moved to enter the museum.
"Erik." Amethyst Heart called the policeman. "Tell them that the only way to win, is if they work together. If they don't protest, switch me on the line - I will coordinate them."
"C'mon... You don't find the danger just a little bit exciting?" Jacob chuckles, before reluctantly pulling away.
"We're not here to shoot this place up, short stuff." The man looks at Sonata. "The opposite, in fact. We're about to be victims. Very well armed, well prepared victims." He smirks, seemingly not that concerned about the prospect of what's coming, if he's telling the truth.
Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 24+10 (Psychic Drug)=34 The guards chuckle to each other and eye her up, but otherwise seem content to stay doing what they're doing, ignoring her words. For a second, Psychana thinks there's something familiar about the two men, but...nah, paranoia must just be a side effect of the drug, she guesses. Heading in through the already broken window, she finds the museum dark, well after hours at this point. Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 52+10 Looking around, she arrives at the entrance to an exhibit of ancient Egyptian art, when she sees a garment on the ground, clearly out of place here - a dark, lowcut bodysuit, clearly made for a voluptuous woman. Turning on a light and holding the garment, smelling of perfume, up, Psychana can see that it's the colors and style of the Invisible Lady, a famous superpowered thief.
Erik shakes his head after trying, before handing his headset to Heart. "Good luck." He grunts in annoyance at his failure to get the group to coordinate.
"Hmpf." Psychana let out a breath and tossed the garment back to the floor. Her eyes would be next to useless against the Invisible Lady, but that didn't mean she couldn't 'see'. Utilizing her telepathy, Psychana opened up her mind to detect and lock on to where the other woman was.
Spoiler: Psychic Roll D100: 77+10 It isn't long before Psychana picks up the woman's signature, entering into the exhibit. Her thoughts go to her sister and grandmother for a moment, as she sees the various artifacts on display - the prominent statues of naked woman in congress informing Jenny that part of the items are dedicated to the godess Isis. In front of a shattered display case, the signal gets stronger, and she feels the criminal directly above her on the roof. There's something else here as well, a psychic presence, powerful, but she can't pinpoint where it is in relation to her, like she can for the cat burglar.
Traveling through the exhibit, for the first time Jenny felt a fascination with artifacts of Isis and contemplated returning later. While she'd always been curious about her family's religion she'd never felt a pull to explore it. But standing in a room full of antiquities her mind began to wonder. She shook off that train-of-thought quickly though she had a job to do. While the psychic presence concerned her, it would have to wait until later; the job was more important. With a thought, Psychana shot into the air and headed for the roof.
Heading to the roof, Psychana unsurprisingly sees no one there. What she does see, however, is a nude figurette of Isis, mysteriously 'hovering' in front of her, as if being carried by unseen hands. Noticing her, the Invisible Lady starts to run, her loot marking her location, as she audibly shudders at being naked in the cold.
"Hold it right there!" Psychana calls out and then reached out with her psychokinesis to hold the thief in her place.
Spoiler: Telekinesis Roll D100: 37+20 (Skill + Drug) Psychana can't see the woman, but from the way the old idol flips and hops across the air, it's clear that the thief holding it is a skilled acrobat, which makes freezing her telekinetically difficult. Still, by the time the thief is at the other end of the rooftop, Psychana sees her slowing noticeably, trying to fight off the heroine's narcotic enhanced power and escape.
"Slippery little..." Psychana muttered before she psycho-kinetically grasped at the icon to pull it to her. "STOP!!!" she shouted. "I won't tell you twice!"
Spoiler: Telekinesis Roll D100+10: 57 The villainess leaps from the rooftop, clearly intending some impressive roll or flip to make her way safely to the ground, as Psychana grasps the idol, failing to pull it back to her psychically as the woman hangs onto it. Psychana hears a distressed yelp as the woman hangs invisibly from the statue, dangling precariously off the edge of the building as she hangs on for dear life.
An amused smile crossed Psychana's face as she held the idol in the air before a slight chuckle escaped her lips. "Well, well, well. This is quite the predicament you've found yourself in isn't it?" Psychana casually walked forward, her heels clicked on the rooftop, while she suspended the idol in mid-air. There was a slight tinge of cruelty in her voice that was never there before. Her anger still apparent. "I have to admit, I'm a little curious as to what you're going to do now. I can hold up this trinket all night. Your arms on the other hand..."
"Oh, come on..." A feminine voice comes from seemingly nowhere. "Look, I really need to get this to my client. You can't give me a break just one time?"
"Mmh... I do, but it's too risky. Do you really want to... destroy our new... working relationship before it even begins?" Vanessa replied, leaving the changing room and paying for the suits. Then she drives back to the mansion with Jacob to show him his new home, and working environment.
{I thought they were in two different locations.} Amethyst Heart sighted as she heard that Erik was not able to convince the team. She turned the audio so that the team could hear her. "You can win, if you work together. First, Kind Mantis, "she turned to villain turned heroine" you have to delay the two robots - just, delay them, making sure to protect civilians and keep the destruction of property to minimum. Optimo, Cool Protector" she turned to the boys. "Finish the robot quickly - after this, attack one of the robots attacking Kind Mantis. Take them down, one at a time." She ordered, as she kept a look at the young team, ready to intervene if things started going south for them.
