The boy nods, quickly rummaging through his backpack for it and setting the stack of cards on the counter. Very red-faced, he continues to stare as Julia looks through the deck. He has a Spellcaster-type deck, particularly focused on the Silent Magician cards. He does also have a copy of Honest, so perhaps he intends to focus on Light Spellcasters. Spoiler: Spiritual Resonance Roll 34+10(Spirit Taming)+10(situational)=54 weak success She probably could have guessed this from his deck's contents, but the spark of power lies within one of the Silent Magicians. Or perhaps all of them? She can't tell.
"I'm so sorry this happened to you, Miss Matthews. I'm sure the academy has counseling services. I strongly suggest you reach out to them, alright?" The nurse says goodbye and leaves, taking her bag of equipment and samples with her. "Wait here a second. I'll get a teacher to escort you so I can report all this." The policewoman leaves Felicia, but only for a minute or two before returning with the staff member who checked on her earlier. "Call us if you remember anything else, or if something else happens, alright, Felicia?" The officer leaves as well. "So..." The woman wearing the school's emblem awkwardly begins. "I'm going to be helping to keep you safe and escorting you around for a little while. Um, do you know where you want to go? Cause if not, we should probably take you to your dorm." She fiddles with her phone. "Congrats on being assigned to Obelisk Blue, by the way, although it probably doesn't lift your spirits much." She says, sadly.
Spoiler: Commune Roll 44=44 weak fail The spirit remains silent, probably having nothing it deems worth saying. As he's getting ready for bed, Adam hears a knock on his flat's door.
"Yes... thanks." Felicia replied still dispirited after what had just happened, Once the nurse and officer left, leaving the academy's staff member, "Alright... I'm not really sure where I want to go." She mumbles, until she's informed where she was assigned, "Obelisk Blue... so that's what that meant." The red-head recalls spotting it from the headmaster's list. "Haa... I guess we should head to the dorm. Might as well rest, before I have to leave." Felicia stands up, her legs still a bit shaky from her first ever orgasm. Still thinking that without her deck, she isn't fit for the academy.
The young man slips on some pants, though doesn't bother to put on a shirt as he moves to the door. Before he opens it, though, he recalls Julia's words and his eyes narrow suspiciously. "Who is it?"
"Spellcasters?" She asked the question with genuine interested and amusement. Funny how things worked out. "Fun how that all works out. I really like the type myself. You can tell a lot about someone by their chosen type. A lot of my more bookish friends like them..,but spellcasting isn't actually as something just so simple as being just for smart people, you know. Magic can mean a lot of things. From the earliest ancient days of warding evil spirits in order to protect others, to Victorian Black magic to make others suffer. That's the true beauty of the type. It's not bound with something as simple as just generic stereotypes." She really enjoyed being able to talk about her favorite type in the game, hoping he'd be able to process some of it. Though...his draw to the Silent Magician was odd. She never heard of someone have ties to multiple cards to the same degree. While it was always possible to tame others, it would never quite match the bond you have with your partner. Well....maybe not. It was a card that was weak on it's own, but could grow into a much more powerful being when taken care of. Seems appropriate. Observing his deck, she looked at with interest. "I see. This isn't bad. You worked hard on it. But...this card is a bit too situational. You might want to replace it was a more generically versatile one. And you don't need this one for hard damage- Julia's tone had went completely different as she became involved in helping him build. After a solid few minutes, she had sorted through some extra cards she had for practice. She didn't use them herself anyway. The school wasn't going to keep track of that anyway. In the end, she offered him five new cards as replacements for some of his old ones to give him options much more viable. Spoiler
Spoiler: Spiritual Resonance Roll 46+10(situational)=56 weak success She hears a rumbling voice. It is very faint, but still audible. Still with you. Be strong. It commands before fading. "Leave? Where are planning on going?" Felicia's escort asks as they make their way across campus to the dorm. Thankfully, the redhead can keep herself wrapped in the blanket left by the nurse to protect her modesty from all the students walking around.
"Huh?" Hearing the strange, yet familiar voice. Felicia couldn't help but look around. "Where?" She mumbled searching for the source, just as her escort asked her the same question. "Ah... well, without my deck, I'm not a duelist. So I won't be able to do much here." She replied, her tone regaining a bit of her usual self after hearing the strange, yet reassuring whisper of her partner. She covers herself with the blanket as they make their way to the dorms, hopefully every other student has already gotten into theirs, allowing her to avoid being seen.
The voice Adam hears from the other side is decidedly feminine. "My name's Taylor Williams. I'm the maid assigned to this floor. I'm introducing myself to you all since you'll be seeing a lot of me this semester. May I come in?"
"A-a friend gave me some of them, and I...like the cards." Spoiler: Perception Roll 61+10+10(situational)=81 success Julia can easily tell from the distant look in his eyes that he liked the person who gave him the cards, probably a crush or something, more than the cards themselves, at least, until he started to actually bond with the cards. Alex listens to Julia, paying close attention to everything she says. As the professor gives him a handful of cards, he has a wide grin on his face. "Thank you, ma'am! I'll make sure to put them to good use."
"Do I what?" Tenma asks, looking away to turn his attention to Jessica. He does not seem to have noticed the reason she cut herself off and he probably SHOULD get to know some of his fellow students when he can. No telling who might be in his classes after all.
Spoiler: Perception Roll 86+20=106 crit. success Despite her search, Felicia is unable to find any sign of whoever spoke to her. There are plenty of other students around, most of them killing time or going to their dorms, but none of their voices match. "Nonsense." Her escort asserts. "You may not be able to duel until your deck's retrieved, but there's still plenty you can learn. You don't need cards for a math class, do you?" She chuckles. "In the same way, you don't need cards in order to learn good dueling theory and deck construction." She falls silent for a second, thinking. "I'll be busy all day tomorrow, but I'll ask your dorm head to take you to the card shop in the morning and buy some packs with you. That way you have a backup deck started. Does that sound okay?"
That explained it enough, she thought. That meant he had someone fairly important. But whether or not she or he realized the meaning of those cards either was hard to determine. Seemed like a lot of people were onto more things than they should. It wasn't really wrong for him to value who gave him the cards. That would probably change more into a solid enough bond on it's own. It would just take time. "Let me know, if you need anything else. But I should probably let you get adjusted." She had a lot of students on her interest list now, and not nearly enough time to cover them all in one day.
"Never mind." She says, a tinge of hostility in her voice. After another minute, however, Jessica turns back to Tenma, hints of rose in her cheeks as she quietly asks. "D-do you mind walking with me?"
He nods, more animated than when he entered, and walks down the hall to find a room. ----- Julia meets and directs many more students over the course of the evening as she sits at the front desk. None of them seem particularly noteworthy. The most interesting thing she notices is that one student on her roster--Dominic Benton--has not shown up by the time Julia's supposed to end check-in and walk around making sure everyone's all sorted in their rooms and happy enough with their roommates.
Adam bites his lip with indecision. On the one hand, caution dictates he not have too much undue contact with people. On the other hand, there's a potentially hot maid on the other side of the door. Adam opens the door. "Of course you can." He smiles. "Adam Le Fey. Mon plaisir, mademoiselle."
The rest of the day wasn't quite as eventful. As much as she wanted one on one time with them all and to watch them squirm a little when her breasts "accidentally" got too close, there just wasn't enough time for all of that. Most of them seemed mostly normal, and not like they would be any real trouble, but she noticed that one name was missing. She could recall he was one of the students she observed earlier. Needed a lot more work. As she ticked off the list, she also made the note to staff that he had not shown up. He didn't have the best attitude, but she needed to be sure something didn't happen to him. As she began to let students get settled in, she looked to a few groups of them. "Does anyone know or have seen Dominic Benton? He hasn't shown up yet."
He is greeted by a smiling young woman in a maid's outfit. Spoiler: Taylor Williams "French? Sorry, I don't know the language." She walks through the doorway, making a passing scan of Adam's chiseled physique. "Do you have all this space to yourself?" She looks around, impressed with the flat. "I'll have more cleaning to do than I thought..."
"Not since this afternoon." One of them says. "He got socked by some girl with an eyepatch and they walked off together. They're probably in some quiet spot fu-" The student stops himself, clearing his throat. "-I mean, you know."
"Did he?" For once, Julia didn't look at all amused by this. Not enough to just laugh off the idea of students being horny. This raised a lot of concerning questions. "This might be a school, but you're all still adults and the same consequences apply. It's not going to be just a talk at the principal's office for hurting another student. Assault is a serious crime. What happened precisely?"
