I’m a bit indecisive on who to ask to volunteer. I don’t think Yulia should do it, this would definitely make her large insertions fetish worse and I’d rather avoid letting any of those get too high. In terms of fitting it, Cherchiel might be the best pick. But if it ejects anything, Goma’s already pregnant so she might avoid some of the downsides?
Between this anti-magic field and Harvester’s magic deflection, it’s unfortunate we have to deal with them but at least we can plan for them going forward.

Now assuming it doesn't work, I propose that who ever undertakes this wears the silver ring, that should prevent any demonic influence from spreading.

Of course, that would mean Cherchiel won't be able to do this.

I agree that Goma would be the ideal candidate due to her pregnancy, but there is the size issue to consider. If it's already too big for Yulia there is no way Goma will be able to stomach this.


So it comes down to Yulia or Isalia. I vote for Isalia, as I agree with Emmie's reasoning to prevent Yulia from getting any more uneeded fetishes.

 

Two crazy ideas. First poking either toy with the rapier. Probably not a good idea, but still an option.

If the Onahole does not work, then using it as the base then Goma on top with the ring may work if we want to avoid more pregnancies.

If it doesn't seem possible then Isalia may be the best option but i don't like this, got trap written all over it.

Wait! Can we summon Martin here? Could he then fuck the demonic Onahole?

 

As interesting an idea as summoning Martin to fuck something is, I'm going to say no for a number of reasons... One the idea of just being able to summon martin to do potentially corruptive things, kind of breaks the spirit of the game, two the idea that you could summon Martin into this specific room which has clearly locked itself is a bit too out there.

Martin will remain as a blacksmith and serve no other useful role, apologies.

I don't think we need anything from Dahlia and we usually don't want to gain any fetishes so perhaps we should just avoid the room? I think we should ask some demons here what they are waiting for and what is downstairs.

Did the pain path lead here as well? I'm a little concerned what the price will be for that path... But if the next room is the arch demon of gifts if may be time to go back for Cherchiels stuff or explore the pain path.

I do think we should visit Dahlia. I actually like to propose getting a utility spell or two, but that can wait until we get to her.


Also I'd like some clarification for map making purpose. Is there another door coming from the pain path here or just the one the group came trough?

I second visiting Dahlia. A fetish isn’t great, but if we can get a spell to identify enemy abilities it would probably be better in the long run. And we can ask her about the Demon of Gifts.
And we should ask around in the waiting room too, but I suspect they’re waiting to be offered up to the smith or are on hand to facilitate that process.

Well this confirms my wild conspiracy theory. And the fact that Yulia's situation has happened before, I have to wonder how many of the Archdemons are from the original lineup. Maybe the Drow's lack of knowledge about the Demon of Gifts is because Dahlia is the only other being to unseat an Archdemon?
Well, as for more immediate concerns, I'm tempted to reverse my decision. It seems the price is higher than we expected. That said, the right spell might still be worth the risk.

Is it safe to assume that this means Alide is the angel version of Dahlia? Altough, she did pick up the silver ring...

by the way, Alide Dahlia, these names are soo close to an anagram that it's very upsetting


Anyways, rambling aside, I actually don't think this will change our relationship with Dahlia. Her aim to convert Yulia into the demon of lust is pretty obvious and the more fetishes Yulia get the easier that is to accomplish.


I have a few questions for Dahlia

Considering that you are the demon of gifts, does that mean Yulia's companions could make use of your services as well?
Would you mind if we screw with the demonic smith and the assembly line on your floor?


So I propose we are getting two more utility spells for Yulia. Enemy Information will be absolutely vital, the only reason we didn't fail against Harvester was because we happened to run into Dahlia. I imagine that will only get more intense on the later floors.


Granted, there's always a risk that we won't get the one we need(enemy information) but the two utlity spells we have, have proven extremely useful so far. So even in that case i believe the trade to be worth it.

 

This is the arch demon of gifts on this floor, not just Dahlia... I do not feel very comfortable exchanging. I agree that getting that utility spell would be very beneficial, I also know that our price could be much worse this time. A 3rd tier fetish could ruin our run quickly as we saw with the spiders. We have companions who can help, but it is still detrimental...

Unless it is not? Goma could puppet Yulia in dire situations now! It's not exactly an answer, but it does make it less of a problem.

I can allow one attempt. If both other voices want two attempts if the first fails, that is fine. After this I think it's time to get Cherchiel's stuff back.

 

Honestly... I was concerned that this reveal was way too obvious.

Also Alide and Dahlia's names are intentionally close. This is neither the first or the last time I'd create two characters who are connected, but also in opposition to each other who have names that are almost, but not quite anagrams of each other.

The other would be Isaiah and Hasien who are the demi-gods of Light and Darkness respectively in my main non-porn works.

There is a part of me that wants to go more in depth and answer the question of "Is Alide the angelic version of Dahlia" right now... but I think I'll just have Dahlia address that on monday, short answer is no... as shown with her ability to touch the ring she is neither angelic or demonic.

 

More fetishes, or upgrades to the ones we have, won’t be fun. But the way I see it, it’s better than walking blindly into fights at this stage. As Gambio mentioned, Harvester could have gone very differently if we hadn’t asked Alide about her before that. Our usual tactics would have been turned against us by that magic reversal. Making a roll or two to get Enemy Info would probably be worth it, we’ll just need Goma to always save a use of Puppet to keep Yulia out of trouble/ in the fight if an enemy uses her fetishes against us.

It took a while, but Yulia has finally reached a despair threshold that unlocked her character specific status effect A unique status effect... well nearly unique... any religious character can get it and there are other unique character specific status effects other character archetypes can get.

 

Wait, we can get duplicate spells?

Or would that upgrade the unlock spell?

 

I do believe it was mentioned before that yes... Getting a spell you already have upgrades the previous spell.
