We have Goma and Yulia able to heal and assist in the operation. We should remove the parasite from her right away. I even want to treat this like combat. Goma sound the horn and include Lemiel, Yulia cast Cure on Isalia after asking if it is ok first. Goma and Yulia then prepare to heal Isalia as needed. Mana potion if the situation looks bad. Cherchiel be ready to administer the health potion as well if needed.

After this I agree, Muma should be put to rest the best way we can.

I mean to be fair... Relative is a relative term... and relatively minor in this case, is going against some pretty damning major downsides, but otherwise yeah that makes sense.

I mean spoilers for an entirely different universe where you didn't go see Lemiel before going to face Levateinn and Levateinn would have been the one to inform you of Isalia's condition... At which point her options for saving Isalia would have been either Yulia agrees to become an Archdemon or she would accept a sacrifice of Cherchiel in return for saving Isalia so... this is what it's being compared to... The other options who could inform on Isalia's condition and offer methods to save her, Alide who is gone now and not an option, but would have been the second best option next to Lemiel, Dahlia who of course would be a pretty bad option and would not have informed you until Isalia was much closer to death anyway and The Abyss itself which... you know is basically literally the devil.

All I'm saying is minor isn't necessarily as minor as it might sound, it's just minor compared to the worse options in this case which are extremely bad.

Also technically Dreg would also logically be able to do something, but I hadn't actually considered that until just now... and it's Dreg so it wouldn't have been good options either.

That makes sense. My expectation was that, with Alide gone, it'd mostly be Levateinn and Dahlia who could tell us. And as expected, their options were, "Become the Archdemon of Lust, or (second fucked up option tailored to their specific tastes)." The operation has some risk, as any invasive medical procedure does, but with healing magic and medical knowledge our party is better suited for it than most.

    Newest Post: Emergency C-section.

Originally I was just going to make some rolls for various negative results... But handling it like combat was actually not a bad idea, so I did that and even put the results in.

Note... Isalia dying during this is an option, but a low chance normally, like very low and in the combat system, I basically decided she would only die if the result was a failure and the roll was at least 10 lower than the required roll for a success.

Phew, that was certainly rough, but I'm glad we're through it. It might be best to stay in the baths for now, let Isalia relax for a while when she wakes up. No sense in going after Levateinn until we're back at full strength.
On that note, I wonder if Lemiel could tell us anything about Levateinn's fighting style.

    Excellent work from everyone.

Resting in the springs for a while certainly seems like the best course of action.

If Goblin pregnancy last for four months, and one rest counts for one day, we might even finish the whole tower before it becomes an issue. But of course, we don't know how exactly that works with Sower, so we just have to wait and see.

I'd also like for Yulia to master her lightning strike while we are at it.

While things are calm, now might be a good time to consider what Dahlia mentioned about Alide not being on our side forever. So, I decided to look back through the things she's said for any hints.
"when we disappear... Well that's a fun question. We go home. We have delightful homes in the tower. You will actually be able to visit us in our homes on the last floor. Though... that is assuming you make it to the last floor,"
This is an early line I found, way back on the third floor. This probably means if Alide is supposed to turn against us as part of her role, it will likely be on the ninth floor.
"Alide picks up the ring and looks it over, interestingly not seemingly taking any damage from it, "Hmm... Ring of Clear Mind... Warded against the Tower Below and above. The Ward is not intrinsic, but was added specifically..." she mumbles to herself and then smiles and places down the ring,"
She seems to know the circumstances behind the Ring of Clear Mind, but didn't tell us. This likely involves the aspects of her role she doesn't want us to know about. And the ring may be a handy countermeasure should we end up facing her.
""As for the floor monster... Harvester. Honestly if you're going to lose to a floor monster, they're not a bad choice. Definitely some of the more fun you can have losing, but oh boy will they mess you up if you do," she says and a gentle smile appears on her face, seemingly remembering some fond memory, "of course I imagine you'd prefer not to lose. Which means... I guess I can try to help you out."
This line has struck me as odd ever since we found out Harvester eats souls. My thought on first reading was 'oh Harvester does something Alide thinks is hot, and maybe Alide has actually done it with Harvester' but the whole soul sucking thing, and something I'll get into below, make me think that isn't the case. Instead, I wonder: Could Alide be someone who eats souls as well?
""As for the Harvester... She would have raped you, she's a succubus. A specifically powerful one, but otherwise just a Succubus. She would have attempted to as her name suggests harvest your soul... through your vagina. Also don't fall for the whole 'let's play' act. She's not a child, she's a sadistic homicidal monster who likes to act coy while describing the horrible things she intends to do. While you probably could have come to an arrangement with her, and she likely wouldn't have actually sucked the entirety of your soul out of you it would be very one sided and you would not have come out of it well. Killing her was the best option. A fact that is true of all the floor monsters," Alide says and there's an edge to her voice. Clearly there's something of note between her and the floor monsters, but it doesn't seem likely she'll be forthcoming with that information."
Again, doesn't seem like Alide is into getting her soul sucked out. Could she be something beyond a succubus? That, and the fact that she has some sort of animosity towards the floor monsters. Given she can avoid them by popping out as soon as they show up, they don't pose any danger to her. So where does this animosity come from?
I think, with a couple more clues, we could unravel the mystery of Alide that Dahlia mentioned.

Ooh I am impressed on you for going and finding all that. Some of that is red herring or unrelated and the line about Harvester being potentially an enjoyable way to lose was more just a nod to the fact Harvester would result in forced sex with an attractive woman and Yulia would probably find that at least slightly more enjoyable than most other scenarios she'd encounter on being defeated. The fond memory in question essentially just being Alide remembering various fun sexual encounters, not anything specific.

The rest though... Good catches. Though the tenth floor is the last floor. Unless you mean you think any such betrayal will occur just before the last floor.

Oh, I forgot there were ten floors. I think I confused 'nine floor bosses' with 'nine floors' but the first floor doesn't have one.

The info on Levateinn’s fighting style is a boon, and we should make note of it for later.
But first we have another fight on our hands. Because of Yulia and Isalia’s current afflictions, I don’t think there’s any point to using the horn on them, but Goma should use the effect on herself and Cherchiel. Yulia should lay down a Blizzard, energize Goma and Cherchiel, and then fire off Icicle against the enemies. I suggest Isalia, Cherchiel, and Goma form a wall between the enemy and Yulia, focusing on covering for each other while Yulia smashes the enemies one by one.

Yulia sure is highly sought after, but there is no question that this offer from the OTG will have similiar repercussion as turning Yulia into the demon of Lust. Lawful Evil vs. Chaotic Evil I surmise.

Both are unacceptable at this point. We do have somewhat working relations with both the Tower above and below so staying neutral seems to be the better course.

Alright, Isalia will be pretty useless for the moment, so it's best to have her sound the horn and just remain on the defensive. Yulia, energize Cherchiel and Goma and then use Blizzard on the crabs followed by Lightning Strike's

Since these are aquatic creature I imagine electric attacks will be more effective.

Goma, try to puppet one of these things and have it attack the others.

Cherchiel..uh punch the weakpoints for massive damage! But try to stay on the defensive.

In general I want this to be more of a defensive fight, since the enemy obviously has the advantage in the terrain, so Yulia's Lightningstrike will be vital. I authorize one Mana Potion if it comes down to the wire.

Incidentally, I would like to know how many enemies we are dealing with here, as I might add Undermine to the mix if it looks viable

    Newest Post: Levateinn's Throne

Not sure if I made it clear, but the Crab People were immune to cold, piercing and slashing damage, so only the lightning and fists had any real effect. Most things in the Tower Below are immune to cold.

Our goal here isn’t to beat Levateinn, just to recover Cherchiel’s equipment. So is there a way for us to settle this without a fight? If she isn’t allowed to make the first move, maybe Yulia can just walk past her and grab Cherchiel’s equipment without issue? Or we can make some kind of deal with her? If all Ash offered was sex, maybe we can do that? Or offer some genuine companionship, like sit down and have a nice tea party or something?

Good thing we got that thunder magic.

If you want visitors maybe don't live under the sea, Ursula

I had the same thoughts in regards to just grabbing the armor and heading back out lol

I am a bit worried that it will be so easy though. Yeah Yulia will be safe, but what's stopping Levateinn from attacking the rest of the group while Yulia is looting the armor? If we go for that route the group absolutely needs to stick together, but even so, I'm skeptical. The wording of "not harming Yulia" allows for enough leeway.

We should avoid fighting demons if not absolutely necessary. It seems these fight tend to involve character death. I would like to say we are well equipped to fight Levateinn, but if she goes and paralyzes Yulia or something we are screwed since we have no way of curing that. Cherchiel will be fine thanks to the Halo but Isalia and Goma are at risk.

This is a hard decision. We do have some steel left to cobble together some protection for Cherchiel and with her new weapon it's not that we absolutely need that stuff.

When all is said and done, I vote that we walk away. To answer the question, it's not worth it.

Sorry, been very busy. If we fight, Goma makes the snakes fight each other while everyone focuses on protecting Goma. Counter the debuffs with our buffs as best we can and Yulia cure the paralysis as it happens.

This looks like a hard fight, but I still feel we have a chance to win... But i am ok with alternatives. It was just gear lost, even if it was really good stuff. Better to not lose anyone.

You know I'm just going to say... The just walk over and grab it strategy is a funny one and the kind that has had a track record of being surprisingly effective, but not in this case. Since the counter to it here is just as simple. Levateinn will simply block your path to the items with the snakes, you can't just go over and grab the items without finding a way past them and that's not going to happen without attacking them.

I do love the idea of just having a tea party with her though.
