I plan to include Sherlock "Sherry" Holmes in my own story at some point. It already had a female Lupin.
I recommend anything by Cixin Liu, especially the Three-Body Problem or his short stories like The Wandering Earth. Quite possibly the least sexual book imaginable, but still incredibly good, hard as nails Sci-Fi.
Great thanks Sthaana - I'll add them to the list Ok - thats the first of the Lupin books consumed. Pretty good, but its a collection of short stories, and possibly not as consistently high quality as some of the other authors whose works are still in current consciousness. Its not as tightly cosntructed stories as Sherlock Holmes, though probably better than the Challenger books imo. I think even among older French Short storyists I'd go for De Maupassant instead (try Boule de Suif) However I'm being too critical - it was still a good read. Thanks @Alibara On to Good Omens now.
The list is now... Guards! Guards! - (Assimilated. Would Highly Recommend) Fahrenheit 451 - (Assimilated. Would Highly Recommend) The adventures of Arsene Lupin, Gentleman Burglar (Ok - worth reading) A fire upon the deep (Asimilated. Would Highly recommend ) Good Omens - Ongoing Brave New World : Dune : Men Who Stare at Goats : Gideon the Ninth : Lovecraft, complete : The Gun Seller : A Primate's Memoir : World War Z : All Our Wrong Todays : Famous Men Who Never Lived : The Future of Another Timeline : Foundation : The Gods Themselves : Doomsday Book : The Machine Stops : Three-Body Problem : The wandering Earth
Good Omens was great - thanks @TheLeherengin! Almost convinced myself I was reading Douglas Adams for a while. Everyone should read this. On to Brave New World next.
Agreed. Amazing book, the adapted tv series is also really good if you can watch it. Has David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Crowley and Aziraphale.
