Spoiler: Stealth Sneak + physical 35+ 8 It took er some time, but after around an hour, Crystal managed to sneak into the city proper. The patrols were not so heavy, but soldiers still made rounds... but it was far more relaxed.
Kegrag was intrested how Amajul would work with her task. After all, she is unarm woman, so it will be intresting. He first ask few questions to barkeeper about smuggler and then using his sneaking skills he follow doctor.
It may be a different planet, but the guards are just as lax as everywhere else, it seems. Crystal thought as she was able to easily avoid them all. Once inside the city the former thief began to explore, listening to people talk, taking note of any locations of interest (especially any heavily guarded places), and tried to stay away from any patrols.
"I will take three specialists with me." Maleficus stated. "Have a pilot, engineer, and personal assistant report to the transport to go with me to the city. While I am gone the Captain is to have the cruiser obey the directions of this system's port authority and take no aggressive action unless hostile action is taken against them. Express to the captain that if this ship takes any unprovoked action I will be most displeased." With his orders issued Maleficus made his way to the hanger bay where his personal transport was docked. He boarded the vessel and then the ship departed for the rendezvous point.
“Even an amateur can feel that. It has not yet taken notice of us. Keep it that way. We benefit nothing by rushing needlessly and alerting its presence.” Clearly there was some kind of thing at play, but he couldn’t be certain on why it wasn’t to a single location. Something that’s been using the colony as its hunting ground, perhaps? But if that were true, how could such a beast go so long with never being noticed? There was a risk here and he’d have to make his way with caution.
As he approached the bartender, the man looked up at the Sith. "Yeah, what will it be?" He asked. Spoiler: snaek/info gathering 35+ 6 As she moved around, Darth Crystal realised that people were mostly talking about the last battle. Most discussions resolved around politics, war and hopes for a fast finish of the conflict... But there was nothing more interesting discussed. As he spoke, the officer nodded. "It will be done, my lord." As Maleficus entered the ship, his crew was already awaiting. "Your orders, my lord?" One asked. Darth Ulria pondered the situation... but could not think of anything else. He simply had to little information to act upon...
Since the source wasn’t staying static, the best approach he reasoned was to approach its last known location where he sensed it. If it had just recently moved, there most likely was a still warm enough trail of clues to find.
At first Crystal was disappointed by what she heard, but then she realized that people talking about politics was exactly what she needed. With some luck by listening to the conversations she would get a good idea what the common people thought about the different would-be rulers vying for the throne, who was seen as most fit to rule, who was believed to have the best and the worst chance of winning, and so. She would focus on that for a while... If listening to people talk did not produce anything of value she would try a different approach: Hiring a local prostitute for some entertainment and questioning her instead.
"Take me to the rendezvous point and then wait with the ship while I bring this world into the Empire." he said to the pilot and the engineer. He then turned to the assistant. "You will accompany me and take note of bureaucratic matters; record keeping and the like. Also have our hosts deliver a delegation to us at the dock. I want them to take me to meet with their leaders the moment we arrive." He turned away from the command deck to make way to his small quarters on the spacecraft. " Now get to your posts, I want this mission over with quickly. Pilot you will have us traveling to the provided destination in thirty seconds. We leave immediately."
Kegrag looked at the bartender, putting one hand on the table. "Do you in last week seen or heard about smuggler named Kramu? He maybe told you some ghost stories and something like that." He said, trying to act polite, at least for this moment.
"Oh no, you wish I was a Jedi." She tosses the collar onto his desk. "Put it on." For emphasis, she makes his trigger finger twitch a little.
As he started walking in the direction of mountains, ignoring the city, his acolytes looked at each other. "Are we ignorint the colony?" Ashttat asked. Spoiler: Overhearing 35+18 As Sith walked around and listened, the people seemed to be generally tired with the civil war. There were few who said anything good about the prince, the eldest sister was getting the most support, and the younger sister was generally seen as a pretender, even if she was considered more popular then the elder sister. The city was a capital belonging to the elder of sisters. "Yes, sir!" his underlings saluted. A few minutes later the shuttle took of... the travel to the port did not take long time, and soon The ship landed unmolested on the surface of the port. The man snorted. "Such stories are pretty common here. They love to talk how they wrestled rancors, flew faster then anything else, defeated the Jedi, meet ghost of Chancelor Polo, and had sex in Senate's building- there is no end to such bosts." The man yipped. "Okay, okay, okay! Be careful, just wait a minute!" The man nervously grabbed the collar, but it slipped from his fingers and rolled over the ground.
“For now. Should it risk being hunting grounds of any beast beast or exposes the unprotected to some sort of substance or mental influence, wandering in without any idea of what to be looking for is poor.”
I see, so this is the elder sister's city. Then Carisele must be the younger sister... Crystal decided to first try and figure out the local queen's palace, base, or whatever, was – but without getting too close, so as to not attract unwanted attention. After that she would look for a local she could ask some questions – such as a prostitute or a person living alone.
"Tsk tsk..." Isis sighs. "Keep making mistakes like that, and they'll be the last you ever make. Pick it up, and if you try to press the silent alarm I know you have behind your desk, you'll be dead long before your guards can appear." She says, guessing that a powerful merchant like him has a way to contact his guards discreetly, and that dropping the collar was as likely deception as it was cowardice - probably a bit of both.
Darth Kegrag put few credits on the bar. "I'm more curious of stories about ghost ship in this system, which was found recently. Come, use your brain and research your memory."
Once the ship had touched down, Maleficus exited the transport onto the hanger where he expected to see a diplomatic entourage waiting to escort him to his desired meeting.
The woman frowned... "But, wouldn't we find maybe some clues about what we are dealing with in the colony?"
She soon found, what she suspected was Queen's palace.... considering the number of visible guards and AA-guns it was the most logical thing to do... Finding prostitutes was easy - the war have made everyone poorer... there was plenty of mothers, wives, widows, crippled soldiers selling their bodies for cash... not to mention the profesional prostitutes.
"Okay, oaky!" He squirmed as he ackwardly made his way to where he dropped the collar. With one hand aiming at himself, he slowly picked up the collar and with a gulp he locked it around his neck.
