Harem Hotel is in the mind control category, which is one of the ones that need a month old account to view. We have a story discord going here: https://discord.gg/AQhaU7zRFN
Even with old accounts the category is invisible and stories in that category don't show up when you search for them. Both the category and stories in it are accessible by URL, though, and if you have a story in your favourites you can find it there too.
https://chyoa.com/category/mind-control The category link in here but if you can't see them despite following your own history, you'll need to ask Friedman to allow access I believe.
what do you mean i have to create an account and wait for a month to be able to see my favorite stories on this site again? i mean all (most) of my browser bookmarks are now a "Sorry, I got distracted... Which page were you looking for?" need to ask for artificial agening of this account apparently then...
I know I'm new (as a registered account at least), but I do sincerely hope that this is a temporary thing that will get fixed. I'd hate to see this site join the (far too long) list of dead and dying sites, cause there's no other place that does what it does. Can't say as I see why the changes were made though - there's basically zero chance of legal threats given that the site bans anything even remotely implying underage content, and that's about all that would get a site pulled entirely. Subscribestar explicitly permits all the "taboo" content that was removed, and if the site's hosting provider is threatening something, there are plenty of other hosts that aren't run by censorious morons. AO3 is way more permissive, and they've had no issues with this kind of thing, and I know for a fact they get way more traffic and exposure. So it is something of a mystery as to what's actually going on, which is honestly the most frustrating part.
It's because they got kicked off patreon for family togetherness, and nonconsent play. They moved to subscribestar now but they have the same rules. Although I've never heard of anyone being censored for said content on there.
reminds me how e-hentai does not allow lolicon content and it is removed every time it is posted.... but if you log in on the site it then allows you to view content on the site Exhentai.... which shows you nothing if your not logged in to e-hentai... and it has everything that was posted on e-hentai including the removed lolicon content... ofc if anyone makes the mistake of posting actually illegal content that will be purged from both sites... but essentially the site can comply with the more restrictive rules of any given 3rd party for like advertisements and patreon like stuff but still provide the userbase access to less conservative content on another site that is blocked unless logged in to the main site...
