I also need access please. the site is no longer that interesting when the best stories are gone. Thank you
my account is years old, and I just noticed some of my followed authors have completely blank profile pages and I can’t access some categories I’d like to request access as well, and I really hope this is something that is a temporary measure because a lot of authors got screwed otherwise
Let’s say I’m an entomologist, and I am having trouble searching for my story with insect activity. I logged in and still had no ability to find Insect activity, not my own or anyone else’s. Species, Genus, and Family all missing, despite looking for related groups, nothing came of the search. I’m worried because insect activity has been a vital part of the local biome since the beginning. Careful, review indicates this maybe because I was using private mode, but perhaps not. Can someone decipher this problem and explain what I can expect going forward?
Not an insect lover myself, more a geologist that specializes in the Northern Continents, of Non conts if you will. As far as I can tell ol bean the administration has had to restrict and hide certain avenues of research that apparently offend the depository supplements. I believe the knowledge we seek is hidden in a secret library and atrium, but while the keys to view this should be available to anyone of long standing with the organization it seems to me that the access to this taboo information has not been given our automatically to those already with a certain level of tenure. Likely meaning that until this is fixed we will have to wait a ghastly month for our accounts to 'age' to the appropriate months age, or get manual access added to our profiles. The good dean Friedman is likely extremely busy with this situation as since his last responses on here his activity has been pretty silent. I would suggest giving the good chap a bit of time as he works on this. TLDR: As best I can tell when Friedman made the changes to hide the 'offending' categories and tags, the intention was to make them only viewable when logged in with an account that is over a month old. But it might be the case that that month old status is as of the change as a lot of people seem to be having this issue. I have reached out to Friedman in private but he seems to be busy, likely trying to fix this. Again all I mention here is to the best of my understanding from what I have read and seen, so I may be wrong.
Please can i get access? I’ve been using the site for a long time but I seriously can’t access my fav tags. Im a long time lurker pleaseeeee.
Also requesting if manually needed, as I'm running into the same issues reported above despite an older account.
