Greetings, I'm currently writting my first story and have some questions about tags, so I figured this would be a good place to ask. First, I can't seem to be able to add tags. Everytime I try to add one in the appropriate field, he disappear when I click "Save as draft". Then I don't see the tags appear ; at least I don't see it in the "About" section on the right, like in the published stories. Is it an issue with the story still being a draft ? Do I have to add tags once the story is published ? Additionnaly, I would guess that each chapter is supposed to contain like 3-4 tags, and a few thread in this forum seems to confirm it, but then I assume that all the tags that people see in the above-mentionned "About" section are the sum of the tags in all the chapters. Sorry if these are stupid questions but I haven't found answers in the guide available.
Tags won't appear in the "About" section of a draft story. I suppose this is so that tags from draft chapters on a published story aren't visible to users; every chapter within a draft story is, naturally, a draft chapter, so no tags appear. However, the tags are still there, and should persist when the story is published. You can check this by re-opening the chapter you added tags to and looking at the field where you added the tags originally - they should still be there. Technically, it's the union, but yes.
You also have to hit Enter after each tag. If you see a nice little blue box around it, you're golden.
Oh right, thanks a lot, works much better that way indeed ! Thanks for the explanation. The tags weren't staying but that was because I was too dumb to hit enter after finishing typing them, it works fine now.
The magic on the having to press enter (or maybe "tab") is so that you can have tags that have a space inside them, like "gone fishing", and then add another tag after that, like "instead of just wishing".
