No can't do. It's essential to my wellbeing that this kitty gets petted. Well. I guess they can ask but pet her anyway. Ohh. So it means she can be safely plugged into places to power up stuff and she didn't even suffer any side effects. Hmm. I wonder how many places have human sockets that you could fill up to open something (wink, wink). While kitty is fully compatible, you never know how someone new would interact with that. It could be dangerous or maybe you just make no power at all. Maybe ask her about that too? Unlikely she knows a ton about it but still. P.S. Make swimsuit a two piece pleaseeeeese~
Items section is missing in this post Well, looks like we just got ourselves some quests, providing we want to shut Sally down. I guess now that we have a bunch of destinations we don't have to systematically check every place we could. I still think we should first head over to Mercantile and met up with Alide Anyways updated "map"
Visiting Alide seems like a good next step now that we've got a firm grasp of what's going on on this floor. We should probably exchange the Leech Mask and Blade of Envy since the downsides outweigh the benefits and we don't plan on using them. Alide may also be able to give us some insight on why the Tower sent Yulia here, and why no Chosen has appeared before. And don't forget my theory that she was the one who killed Elena. We could potentially ask Alide about it, but frame it as "We heard stories of this super powerful previous Chosen and were hoping you had info on whoever was strong enough to kill her, since we'll inevitably have to deal with them."
Hmmm. Looks like we should go to engineering then. Just think of all the loot in there! The robots so far were such push-overs. Entire room of them won't be much bigger issue with all the AOE that Yulia has. Just go and get all the fun loot before they can regroup and make it really hard!
I think also that we should meet Alide first, exchange the cursed items and enquire about this level. I'm not against asking about Elena. Though, if Alide killed her, we may not learn much.
Okay. Either she is lying out of her ass or Elena was so naive that she picked some really poor friends. What does even "wandering monster" mean? You could argue that all of our lovely friends are wandering monsters since they live on these floors. Shame that it basically means we didn't learn nothing new: Elena was killed by someone close to her. Hmm. Not sure what I want from Alide herself. Wouldn't mind a peek under her shirt I guess, teheheh~
To be clear Wandering Monster refers to the special monsters that exist on every floor since the 1st floor who are encountered on certain dice rolls and who drop special rewards when defeated, but are fully optional. So far they are: Floor 2: Sower Floor 3: Cupid Floor 4: Lumberer Floor 5: Knocker Floor 6: Harvester Floor 7: Kraken Floor 8: The Directive
I think Alide is being completely truthful. With this, I fully believe that Alide is the final wandering floor monster. I believe that she feels guilt and regret over what she's done, but has to do it as part of her role in the Tower. That ties back to what Dahlia said a while ago. When the time comes, she will fight us with all of her strength. But she wants us to defeat her. Don't forger the part about supporting Elena in her worst moment, after first being violated by a monster. And she later said, "It had been a friend to her, but it was a traitor and it killed her and it will do the same to you unless you harden your heart. All the wandering monsters deserve to die, there are no exceptions." The intensity with which she said that conveys, to me, the fact that Alide is this monster and that she wants Yulia to kill her. The bit about the Tower sending Chosen to areas of conflict is interesting. It's reassuring that, at least in theory, the floors aren't kept in a constant state of chaos. This floor was an almost utopian society until Sally showed up, which is why there hasn't been a Chosen here before. As for immediate concerns: Use Identify on the two new items, and I think we should check out that superstore before we use Alide's services. I say we go in there, gear up, then come back to Alide to trade in anything we don't plan to use and grab a blessing before we leave this area. Even if we don't find anything we can trade in, or that we want to, better to figure out what we can get from the superstore before we decide what to grab from Alide.
Argh! I can't believe we traded the stuff in just like that! The blade could have been useful! Oh well, let's identify the new stuff. But yeah, that does sound pretty conclusive in regards to Alide But it's not like we have to kill the floor monsters. That was always just an optional objective. And I can't help but feel that we are having a choice here. What happens if we stop killing the floor monsters? Leaving either floor 8 or 9's one alive might be enough to break the chain. Other then that, I'm fine with checking out the megamart before making use of Alide's services.
Ah. It does seem to hold up as much as I would love to stuff my cum-soaked arm into her story and call some things into question. And since Alide is this passionate about this and Yulia was able to enter the tower, no chance to see Elena herself. I am really curious if things like mindbreak or total submission count as death since Chosen isn't able to continue their mission. I like to imagine that Elena is still in the tower, chained up in a dark room and crying out apologies for her long-gone friends that she failed. And probably a tentacle up her cunt, can't go wrong with a massive tendril violating you for an eternity.
No, I don't think we could have used the Blade. The issue is it fans the flames of resentment to make one target attack their allies, but Puppet can do that while also controlling what specifically they do. Not to mention, prolonged use of the Blade of Envy comes with the risk of corrupting the user. If we didn't have Puppet, it might have been a handy ace to keep up our sleeve as long as we only used it a couple times at most with each party member, but as things stand I don't think we were gonna use it.
's answer were interesting and seem to fit Alide being final floor monster. I agree on identifyig the new items and checking Megamarket before shopping more with Alide.
It seems that we should treat almost everything on this floor as a trap until Director is dealt with. Cherchiel seems to be energized but other combatants are not. So energizing them appears tp be in order. Then ulia should use Blizzrd since it has proved effective against the automatons before.
I just realized that we don't even have any money to buy anything in the first place. But on the bright side, if it gets to violence we can at least loot the store after this! Hmm..engin can you give us the Identify for the new items first? We might want to equip that stuff before the fight. I give my proper comment after.
Uh oh! Jig is up! Looks like engin finally took her gloves off and gave Yulia some real enemies to fight. Maybe just run? It can't give you a whooping if you aren't in a shop! You know that stores have a freezer section right? For all the ice creamy goodness. Those hands are E for everything.
I figured there would be security, so no harm done Maple. As Gambio said, once we deal with this we can do some looting. If anything, this might work in our favor since even if weapons aren’t sold here, we might be able to take something from security. As for tactics, I think Yulia’s usual barrage should handle this. Yulia, Energize everyone (except maybe Maple since she doesn’t seem like a combatant) and then go for the usual spray and pray. Goma, blow the horn for everyone and then focus on defense, I suspect that Puppet won’t work on this one. Isalia, focus on defense and protecting Yulia. Lri, given your skill set I wonder if you can get up into those tracks on the ceiling and try to sabotage them, maybe breaking whatever is holding them up. Cherchiel, go full Boarchiel and try to grab the arms and rip them off. Lemiel, you’re pretty well rounded, so shift between melee attacks to fend off the arms and joining Yulia with ranged attacks as needed. New items might be worth equipping but I don’t think they’ll change my tactics much.
