How should I monetize?

I’m hitting a bit of a rough patch financially and my spouse is saying I should monetize my writing.

I already have a side hustle. But this would be a second one. And I’m not sure what to do.

I have an artist friend who pays his bills with fury porn. But he never got back when I reached out about monetizing smut.

No experience with it myself, but I imagine it's the same as other erotic art: make a Twitter account, post sneak previews, and offer commissions. (And when you get banned you start over)

For writing specifically there's also another outlet: get your stuff published.

Getting commissions is the "simple" option for artists. I put quotation marks on it because getting proper compensation for effort is not necessarily easy and you need to find people willing to pay for personalised smut.

There are also sites that promise to pay for written erotics, but finding a trustworthy site may not be easy. Also, I doubt the pay per reader is high.

I guess I should say I do Mind Control and Transformation stories and I know Patreon cracked down on those. Where can I go for an alternative?

    Kofi? OnlyFans?

Have you looked at SubscribeStar ? It's adult only and I know of at least a couple MC and TF authors on there:

Amazon and Smashwords are obviously the biggest markets around. The downsides being, it can be hard to get noticed among the teeming masses and, Amazon in particular, can be fussy about non-consenting mind control and transformation.

I know at least one writer that uses Ream for any stuff Amazon won't allow. It's a Patreaon-a-like service specifically for fiction writers. They claim to be encouraging of erotica and their content guidelines are pretty much the same as the ones we use here

Has anyone else had any experience with Ream that they'd like to share? I've been looking at it recently. I can't see any serious downsides, but I'm not sure whether it would amount to much in terms of income either.
