Recent security upgrades force me to constantly access solve Captchas. When I do it, it deletes my entry, and I have to start over. Both lost progress and the frustration of dealing with Captchas every other minute is pushing me to quit the site. Does it need to be so strict? I need to use Tor and/or proxies to post from my current country of residence.
I think especially for a site like Chyoa you should be able to use Tor, VPN services and other proxies in regard to privacy. I know from my own experience that constantly solving captchas while using Tor and Google gets pretty annoying (but DuckDuckGo is a good alternative). I've deactivated captchas now. You should be able to access Chyoa without completing a challenge. Let me know if you still have troubles.
I thought computer-generated security could generally be cracked by another machine. As always, I like to save copies of my threads in an external text editor, like OpenOffice (a bit clunky) or Word Starter (Microsoft, hard to get hold of, probably discontinued). Wordpad is probably superior to Notepad in terms of formatting.
