Hi! I was suggested to post a thread for this suggestion/request. There are times that I’d like to embed a video into a story. Usually, there’s a song or scene I’m thinking of that the chapter might be based on. It would be great if videos could be embedded so people could listen to the song, watch the scene, etc in connection to the chapter.
I don't like the idea that opening a chapter or clicking the wrong spot on an NSFW site might suddenly result in sound being played.
Yes, auto-playing sound by default is only acceptable if playing a video is the main purpose of a page. Think sites like YouTube or SoundCloud. Mute by default is mandatory everywhere else. Could make it a configurable option, and could save the volume in a cookie so if you enable (or disable) it on one page, the next video has the same volume. That said, embeddable video would be nice. It's almost always higher quality at lower bitrates than GIFs, and you get seeking and (optional!) audio as added bonuses.
