I've decided that Bryce will accept Akita's recommendation to assassinate the countess as it will allow me to introduce an Order of Assassins I had an idea for. Does this setting have an Order of Assassins style organisation already?
Nah, I don't think anyone has such set up a super spooky assassination order yet. But if there was one, Akina would definitely probably be involved with it. She's generally portrayed as an extremely skilled agent.
I was originally going just have Akina be a liaison between Bryce and the Order of Assassins but I like the idea of her being an actual member.
What would be the pros and cons of Bryce marrying Lady Victoria or Akina? I wanna give the reader reasons to chose either one. Both of them are pregnant with Bryce as the father and the marriage will affect which of Bryce's kids inherits the throne.
well, the pros and cons can really be anything you want them to be. Thinking about it myself and just imagining what the characters are all about. They're pretty much opposites. Lady Victoria is kind of the Standard, Vanilla choice. She's an up and coming noble lady around the same age as Bryce and nobody would really bat an eye if they get hitched. I'd even go out of the way to say that she probably went out of the way to catch Bryce's eye and orchestrate her time together with him. However, being the vanilla-type, I also don't really think she's be particularly exciting in the bedroom. I can't really see her as being one who would take the initiative outside of suggesting or implying something and then letting him take control. Akina is pretty much the opposite. She's a nobody, a lowborn who only got into her position through sheer skill and ability. Not to mention that there's been several branches which have implied that many Itherians are kind of racist towards those with more bestial features. It would mean that his choice with her would be much more controversial. On the other hand, she's very capable (Unless she's fighting a supernatural demon) and i don't really see her as being very passive in the bedroom. Maybe not quite Dominant, but definitely a more active partner than Victoria would be.
Thanks, that helps me finish the chapter where I give the reader a choice between who to marry. A previous chapter says Lady Victoria is the second daughter of Count Erwyn. Who is her sister? Also what is the religion in Itheria like? Do they have a specific symbol?
I've bigtime depicted beastfolk as second class citizens in my branches. Bryce marrying one would raise a lot of eyebrows, to say the least! I like the idea of an Order of Assassins. I'm a longtime fan of Assassin's Creed, so it sounds a lot like that, which sounds good.
I made Akina a member of the Order. Bryce dies from being poisoned after marrying Akina but nobody for sure knows who did it. Do you know anything about Lady Victoria's sister or the religion in Itheria? Victoria would be blamed for the murder, though her father would confess and be executed instead but the family would still face a series of harsh punishments, stripping of titles, stripping of clothes, public humiliation, whipping, branding with a symbol of Itheria's religion, rape, being sent to a covenant.
I don't think anybody's done a deep dive on Itherian Religion. So you're probably free to do whatever you want with that!
As far as I'm aware of, nobody's dug into Count Erwyn's daughter. So you're free to do what you want!
I'm about to introduce Richard as the new king. Are Sir Garret and count mage Vessa both human? How old would they be after eighteen years?
Garrett is Human. He is probably in his 60s, but I don't think I ever determined his age. So it's probably fine whatever you decided. Vessa is a Half-Elf. I never really quantified much about how elfy she was other than reduced fertility and a longer lifespan, but after a couple of decades she'd probably be in her 50's, but stil look like she's in her mid to late 20's.
Huh, I don't have her description written down. Well, the world's your oyster...although i do seem to recall that she's bit of a Petite individual.
I'm sure there's actually one writer who envisioned Vessa as something of a chonker. But most of the other writers, and myself, I think have envisioned her as more on the petite side.
