Hi, just wondering how to include images into a chapter. Tries to drag and drop but doesn't work, and also can't see any option to import pictures. Thanks!
The process is explained in guidelines: link basically, you paste code ![]() where in last bracets you paste link with picture - it must be to picture (so with extension of .jpg .png, etc) So:
Does it have to be a url? I have some images in my dropbox. Also, are there any rules about image inspiration type stories? I just saw one that has almost no word count at all.
It does have to be a url, chyoa doesn't host images other than covers. Chapters should be at least 100 words long but it's not a rule they're super strict on
When a story is published, the whole story must have at least 250 words of storytelling. (That is without describing the concept, character summaries, and the like.) Personally, I would like to have a higher number (like 1,000 words) to ensure that story owners actually take the responsibility to (at least initially) be the main driver of the story. After a story is published, added content needs to meet the CHYOA Rules. Everything else like required chapter length or minimum quality is up to the story owner.
I know of a story currently that has maybe 20 - 30 words max that could possibly count as story. Instead the story is filled with images and gifs and requests for other people to add chapters inspired by those images and gifs. The owner has practically written nothing.
