Implementing a Maximum Branch rule for DOOMED, just to try and keep things reasonable. The introduction chapter will max out at 10 branches, and subsidiary chapters will max out at 5 branches each. I can always go back and change that, but at the moment there are 319 chapters to be written, so it's probably for the best to cap new branches slightly.
Sounds like a good plan. It's probably best to put a limit on the branches and not risk the story becoming too diffuse. But there's no such thing as too many stories about Sue Storm getting corrupted, so I'm glad you're giving yourself the option to go back and add new branches if and when they seem viable.
Rest assured, the branches will continue after Sue gets corrupted (chapter 20). Just debating whether or not to bump up the limit. We'll see how the response is.
Our first branch reached a full 20 chapters, which means Sue Storm is fully corrupted - expect plenty of hardcore sex, degradations, betrayals, etc. Unless people ask for Sue to win out in the end. Usual caveat: a lot of the Porkum-corruption chapters are going to be a bit similar because they're all branching off the same storyline. However, I'll try to mix it up a bit to make the branches more distinct. Suggestions welcome.

Sorry for ignoring the thread for a bit, just been busy with real life and trying to keep up the schedule. Porkum branches are still dominating, which I know doesn't thrill everyone, but that's democracy for you.
Traveling this weekend and will be out-of-state and with limited internet access for most of the coming week, so updates will be sporadic if at all. Good time to get caught up!
Back at a stable internet connection, will take me a little while to get back into the groove, but I hope to resume the normal posting schedule soon.
Everyone okay with the pacing? I think I've mentioned this before, but on my spreadsheet I have branches color-coded. When a chapter reaches the minimum like threshold to get a new chapter, it goes green. When the first chapter is written it goes yellow (then orange for 2nd, red for 3rd, purple for 4th, and blue for 5th, which is the max for branches so far). So far, I've been alternating between writing for the highest-rated green branch and the highest-rated non-green branch. Which is a bit slower for making branches longer, so I'm debating whether to mix it up a bit. Depends on what folks want - more branches or longer branches.
I think it's good that you pay attention to what folks want, but on the other hand - as a creator myself, I know I do my best work when I'm into it - so, I think you should balance what folks want with what you want. If you have an idea for a branch, that's what you should write. Personally, I like variety, so the more branches, the better!
Currently at 155 active branches; when it hits 175 I'm going to cap the options at 3 to slow the branch spread down a bit.
