Please excuse my grammar and word usage if they seem a bit strange. English is not my native language. I can read it, but writing it is a completely different matter. I would like to suggest a new feature to a story's story map. What I would like to improve: When you follow a story, you are always thrilled when that story is listed on the main page under “Recently Updated Sex Stories.” But finding these new chapters is sometimes an arduous task. Sure, you have the “Story Map” link, which lists all chapters in a hierarchical display with creation date. Scrolling and checking the date of every item in a very long story is too time consuming to do by hand. I know you can search for dates by pressing CTRL+F. But even this is sometimes a trial-error system, especially if the chapter date is within the first 10 days of a new month (since the day number then only has one digit). And many users may not even know this keyboard shortcut for searching on a page. What I suggest to improve it: Above the chaper tree, add a list of recently added chapters since the last visit (or the last n days, if that's easier), whose links will then either scroll down to the actual chapter or open the chapter itself. I hope my suggestion is well received.
Go to the primary author and check their activity, should be a workaround but you're not wrong; this needs to be added. However, word to the wise: doing this for stories with a game mode, especially if said story is anything which attempts open world, will likely just result in you seeing the most recent activity as a mechanical chapter designed to redirect you to hub chapters or local hub chapters.
This is probably a violation of the sites terms and conditions, but I made a Google Chrome plugin that repeatedly scrolls to the bottom of the story map until there's no more chapters to load, and then counts all the green and blue chapters to report how many new chapters there are. It then has a button to automatically scroll me to the first new chapter in that list. There's still some work to do on it and I suspect it hammers the CHYOA servers so I haven't published it anywhere. But year for reading the massive stories like Sexual Privilege and The Rulebook it's really the only way to see what's new.
