Hi everyone, I'm the author of a fairly new story titled El Presidente. It is a game-mode intended story about a young woman, Isabella, that was thrusted to the position of power following the assassination of her father, the former dictator. She finds herself surrounded by enemies and allies that want to tear her apart, and has to decide if what she has to do to secure power is worth it. (Spoilers: It involves sex with alot of people!) With the full playable release of Chapters 1&2, which are actually entire episodes comprising of 196 chapters so far, I thought it would be a good time to set up this thread to get some feedback about the plot and/or mechanics. Having established the setting in the main story, I have also wrote a series of one-shots involving the characters which cater to a variety of kinks, taking suggestion from readers. I welcome feedback of any kind! Whether its a route that you think need more attention, or suggestions for one shots, or even criticism on my writing (this is my first attempt writing anything online so it's definitely not perfect), please feel free to leave it here or message me. The fact that I immediately understood - and am impressed by the accuracy of - the list of factions shows just how much of a nerd I am lol (as if my PFP didn't already give that away). Slightly disappointed that the antagonist faction is communists rather than liberals or socialists but that's just cause I'm biased against the former. Second, my attempt to be an ice queen (historically, in order to maintain power, female autocrats had to be more ruthless and iron-gripped than their male counterparts) have proved marvelously successful. In summation: the situation is realistic, and you're probably way too much of a politics nerd like myself XD
Thank you for your kind words! The plot is definitely politically focused, and I tried my best to represent each faction accurately. My approach was to have 2 inside/political factions, being the Military and Cabinet, and 2 outside/economical factions, the communists and the oligarchs. The reason for communists to be the main threat was largely due to the backdrop of the Cold War, with the story being set in the 1970s, the recent conclusion of the Vietnam war and the increased communist guerilla activities around the world at the time. I don't want to spoil too much of the later plot, but Uncle Sam and the USSR are both very interested in the resource rich Montesoro and both would stop at nothing to claim it for their sphere of influence. Also I'm glad to hear your playthrough went well!
