"Thanks for the advice Sig, I'll see you when I get back." Eliza said grateful for the advice and wilfully ignored the quip about Maelon. She hugged her roommate goodbye, something that the warrior was still uncomfortable with, slung her sack over her shoulder, grabbed her staff and headed to the markets. Eliza loved the hustle and bustle of the market, and often perused the wares that were being hocked on days where she didn't have anything to do. Since she grew up on the open road with no one to talk to but her adoptive father most of the time, arriving in a town presented fresh opportunities and she'd always loved that. While the markets around the guild were consistent they were also larger than most other places she'd been to and thus typically had more going on. She rarely purchased anything though, instead choosing to hoard her meagre earnings from the guild for something worthwhile. Still the half-elf figured now was probably a good time to spend the coin she'd earned in preparation for her 'quest'. Thus the redhead walked through the marketplace while keeping an eye out for Maelon.
A kidnapping? Meira went into full alert. She hadn't expected something like this in such busy streets, but she tried to ready herself. She had no way of hitting the taker in this crowd without hitting a bystander or Celeste. Without much time to think, she readied her hand and took aim to cast Dark Bind, to root Celeste and the kidnapper's legs to the spot as she sprinted to try and close the distance.
„Of course, and your service for rebels count was just simple mistake Macek”. Claudia have hard to believe that any commander would send single footmen for foraging. No, it would be squadron of cavalry, with some spare horses for transport of provisions. Claudia rise her shield, getting ready for counter attack coming from her opponent. She look into her memory if this men fits description of bounty.
Interesting... this is certainly something that troubles her a lot... Was she affected in some way? Or maybe someone she cares about was? “I see... People doing stuff without thinking about the consequences is sadly a common thing...” Eran replied with a nod even as his eyes continued to roam all over the busty elf's body. I wonder if this related to the reason I was sent here?
Eliane calmly tightens her pressure on The Blade of her Dagger on The Thiefs Throat, drawing a bit of Blood. "How about You Drop Your Weapons and You can Go and live another Day. Whatever is buried here isnt worth the trouble...and Your Lifes. Or am I mistaken Here?" She asks, narrowing her Eyes.
“You dated a student at this academy?” Lyria giggled, “Oh, aren’t you a bit too old to be dating students, my dear Lauriel? There’s a story you gotta give me the details on later. You went in the tomb with your boy-toy or something?” “Aha~, one of those kinds of dungeons,” She smirked, leaning forward to rest her elbows on the table, “So, we need this boy to get to the juicy floors of this tomb, is it?” “You two came up with a plan yet?” Lyria asked them, “Do I also need to date our half-elf to get down there?”
As Zilavra raises her head from her bow, she sees that the shadowy figure is gone. As she turns to leave the old caverns and head back into the sewers, she sees a folder tied to a pillar behind her. Looking inside, she sees a fair amount of information on her prey. Spoiler: Otto the Caravaneer Name: Otto Szemlid Appearance: A human male, thickset and bearded. Olive skin. Wears brightly colored silks and feathers. Estimated threat: Minimal - Otto is beyond all things a merchant, not a fighter. He talks his way past threats, but should be no threat for one off your skills. It is unlikely he understands the information he was able to luck into, not the threat it puts him under. Security: Two bodyguards - mercenary fighters. They are a female orc and a male Northman human. No particular renown. Otto does keep a trailer of exotic animals, some potentially dangerous if they escaped. Potential choke points: - Residence: Otto has a room at the Green Dragon Inn for sleeping, with adjoining rooms for his guards. No great security, but the Inn is filled with people. - Market Square: Otto arrives at the market square early each morning, to set up his stalls for the day's business. He is there consistently until nightfall. The Square provides large crowds for anonymity, but any killing here will inevitably be public. - The Brothel: The Golden Hand Bordello. Otto stops here each night after the day's sales, indulging with one or more . The brothel consists of a large open space where patrons can drink and solicit prostitutes. The 'business' itself occurs in private rooms. Otto will be isolated when he goes into the private rooms, but the brothel has its own security staff to deal with troublemakers, who will intervene if they realise what's happening.
"Do you desire her?" The shadowy figure asks. "What would you do with her if I gave you leave to have her once my vengeance is complete?"
"I, um, thank you...?" The elf asks, raising an eyebrow in confusion at Delphi's exuberance. "I...don't usually give private lessons." She says carefully. "The University doesn't care for it."
The musk is strong, but...not unpleasant. It seems to be coming from the nearby drawers. Fei prods her boot into the goblin's side, but succeeds only in attracting Peng's attention to her feet, which he starts to try and grab with one hand, the other still trying to get at something under the bed.
Looking around, Eliza sees that the merchant district is well suited to a town dominated by the adventurer's trade. Among the stalls and shopfronts, she sees a few places relevant to her current requirements. - Snorrson's Weaponry - The Paladin's Shield Armorer - The Adventurer's Paradise - General Goods and Equipment - Arcane Armory - Spellbooks and Magical Paraphernalia Moreover, she sees a few shops that interest her, even if they don't quite relate to adventuring. - The Golden Vixen - Beautiful women's clothing and Jewelry - The Scholar's Librarium - Non magical books of all genres and types Not far away, Maelon sits at a table, eating some sort of baked snack. He's intent on his meal, and hasn't seen her.
The halfling shrugged. "Well, I do have plans for a... let's call it, a farm, and I am in need of... let's call it cattle~" He smiled as he answered, truthfully.
Spoiler: Spell Roll D100+10= 56 (Minor Success) Meira hears a man cry out in surprise amidst a few shouts of shock, as roots emerge from the ground, latching around the feet of kidnapper and victim, as well as passers by. The roots, however, are green and weak, and it shouldn't take long for any able bodied person to kick their way free.
Spoiler: Knowledge Roll D100: 12 In the heat of the moment, Claudia can't remember what Macek's description was, as most of her attention is directed to the razor sharp blade in front of her. "I don't serve the count! And I don't have to explain myself to you, scum!" He raises the halberd.
“Mmhn… what the hell is that?” Fei grumbles from the unfamiliar scent. Sure she’s had some relationships in the past, and even went all the way with a few of her partners. But none of them produced such a… strange smell before. And with Peng grabbing at her boots, with Fei’s attention caught between her book, and the strange musk. “Ah! You little!” She gasps, allowing the goblin to take off her left boot, letting him see her silky, stocking-clad foot.
Claudia rise her shield to parry his halberd, smiling to him. Ewen if she mistake him, there is no point now in stopping. They both spread blood, so only way out for them is to defeat opponent. She used her shield to parry his strike from long reach weapon and then stab him in the face with her dagger, moving closer to him.
"Too common." Ellaria sighs, as they walk closer and closer to the looming monolith of the great temple. "People abandon their homes looking for excitement. Sorcerers practice forbidden arts. Men and women - even women and women on occasion - lose themselves in their own passion. It's awful..." The dark elf sighs. "Now, now, 'Lari, it's not always so bad." A confident, sultry female voice sounds, and Eran looks up to see a different dark elf standing in the great arched doorway of the temple. "I am Emara, head priestess of Yselva at this temple. I welcome you. Forgive my daughter - she does not favor the more liberal rights of Yselva." She smiles. "Please, follow me. It is I who requires your aid."
Spoiler: Intimidation Roll D100: 23 (Fail) "Are you insane, slut? It's three on one! Even if you take out this idiot, we still outnumber you!" The two other men laugh.
"Hey, I'm barely a hundred, Lyr! I wasn't that old at the time. Besides, he was a human - they basically age in dog years." Lauriel chuckles. "Heh, sure. When there's some time I'll give you all the juicy details." Lauriel's sister nods. "We were thinking of shadowing the kid and his security. We stay unseen until pretty boy finds something worth taking. Then we nab it." She says. "Still, if you're being serious about dating him, we won't stop you." Lauriel adds with a smirk.
"Once she is fully broken, I care not what happens to her. You may take her." The voice answers after a moment of thinking.
