Question about images Or Gif's in story

I am new here, read some of the stories here and they have embedded images and gifs, some cover images have nsfw images, So, just wondering if its okay to add images or gifs with sexually explicit scenes

Where do people host images? I have a non-erotic image (diagram) which is necessary to avoid a million-word explanation of something.
