I am currently writing a story, and was considering publishing it, so I checked the rules. And so I got a question: in one of my storylines, the events are centered about a parasite that consumes the brain of a human and takes control of their body. Logically, that kills the host. But will that be breaking the rules? I mean, it clearly states that it is against the rules if someone dies, right?
I don't see an issue regarding Rule 3 unless there are gruesome descriptions of the process or if it happens during a sexual situation. Rule 2 might be an issue depending on how the creature is depicted. Where?
You're good. The rule against death is usually about excessive gore or graphic content, not the concept of a character dying. A parasite taking over a body is pretty standard in sci-fi and horror, so as long as you’re not overly detailed with the gruesome parts, you should be fine.
