The story starts here! Okay, so unlike the other stories, this is aiming to be a longer, linear story with little to no branching, the new chapters will happen about when I feel like it, and the aim is...cozy erotic fantasy in a world that's basically the cyberpunk future of The Lord of the Rings.
Okay, so despite my best intentions plot happens. I'm still going to take it slow, but I reserve the right to go full action-sex-cyberpunk-fantasy.
Story really isn't clicking for a lot of people, but then it's early days yet, and not using any popular characters, and the sexy bits are interludes instead of chapter-like in-depth discussions of multiple positions. I'll keep going for a bit.
I feel kinda silly giving you of all people advice but you're not doing yourself any favor with that cover image. Also gore is a massive turn off for a lot of readers. Since excessive violence is forbidden anyways I would just take that and guro off the tag lists
There's a bit of (nonsexualized) violence, I like to warn people. [/edit] The cover...I'm not very good at self-promotion. I'll think on a better one.
But that's not what people think when they read guro/gore. You are seriously shooting yourself in the foot with this one. Hell, go ahead and make a tag "nonsexual violence", achieves the exact same thing but won't scare off potential readers.
A part of me wants to introduce some new voices/characters/perspectives, and part of me wants to keep the story essentially linear, so I'm debating sexy side chapters with link chapters to loop them back into the main narrative.
Story isn't dead, just been a shit few days for writing. It's back-burner as I keep churning out DOOMED. But I'll get a new chapter up when I can.
New characters, more worldbuilding, weirder sex! The idea is that Looseleaf's Diary will be side-chapters which spin out of the main storyline and then loop back in. If people like it, might be more. If they don't, might not be! https://chyoa.com/chapter/Looseleaf's-Diary---19---02---2120.1687869
I think the format for the parallel path works. Not sure what the readers (both of them) think about it at this point, but I might continue to develop things along these lines.
I like this format. Inserting both into one linear story would work as well, as it seems that both may be necessary to understand full story.
Well, that was part of the idea. Keep the main track of the story but find a way to expand outward on it if I wanted to explore other parts of setting, other characters, events that the main characters wouldn't know about, etc.
Probably went a little too fast and heavy in the latest Looseleaf chapter. I promise, it won't be all cyberpunk eugenics and impregnation fetish.
