Yulia, that was very clever, well done.

Looks like Emmie has it covered, although offensive magic does still work. Bringing out a plasma rifle can't be a bad idea (ammo is a non-issue, someone else can charge up a spare). If there was a time to bring out all the guns it's now. Aqua is 95 after all the pluses compared to the kraken at just 78, so we need to get 13 worth of something to win on a perfect roll. Thus, no holding back.

If we are fighting the supermarket next, large piles of EMP grenades will be needed, but at least we'll be able to see this time.

    Close one.

We can still use magic, even if it's less effective.

Question: Can we manufacture more Grenade Launcher Grenades?

I don't really have much to add here beyond throwing all the Grenades at Aqua

Normal Grenades can be used with the grenade launcher.

Sorry I know it's not really useful answering this right before the next chapter is written.

That really didn't go well. On the next round Yulia should remember Open Sesame to open the path for shots and spells like with Kraken.

Halo was a good idea. Though now it would be interesting to see what Identify says about Yulia after Halo revived her, once she has beaten Aqua.

That's most of the tools used, I'm not sure what else other than clever uses of open there is. Clearing a path for lighting and plasma and using the teleport to outrun him are the best I have. You can also try mixing the spells up, that usually helps.
There is also the break glass plan, getting Dhalia to provide some demonic items that would help.

Okay, that didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped. I see two ways out of this, and I want a second opinion on which is more viable. The first is to borrow the Prism Staff from Talwa. As a reminder
Would an all-out offensive with our magic plus Searing Light do the trick?

My other thought would be to go in the complete opposite direction, and borrow the Aspect of the Apex from Cherchiel.
The idea would be to borrow Cherchiel's spear and shield as well, maybe even the Boar Mask, and just go all in on melee damage. Not sure how viable that is, which is why I wanted a second opinion.

Being underwater might be less than optimal for melee strategy.

    Objection!

Last time we fought Aqua Yulia was wearing a skimpy swimsuit, this time she is in full high tech armor, which I quote:

"Tech Bodysuit, a suit designed for comfort and protection. It's material is specially made to provide protection from temperature changes as well as energy weaponry such as stun guns. It provides no protection against physical damage and is easily torn or damaged by physical attacks. It uses special mass redistribution methods to streamline the wearer's body, ensure a proper fit and allow for enhanced maneuverability and flexibility, similar to if one was wearing no clothing at all. This specific version of the suit was designed to fit a Felis wearer, but while too big a difference would render it unusable, it should fit most forms and sizes and of course it makes the wearer look absolutely stunning. Also contains magic suppression tech that will protect against any manner of spell cast on the wearer and also render the wearer incapable of casting magic," the spell returns.

"Tech Armor, armor plating made out of high tech metals, provides excellent defense against physical damage and can be worn over tight, unarmored clothing. The visor also contains a breathing and filter apparatus that protects against inhalant weaponry such as poison or aphrodisiac gas. It was designed for a Felis wearer, but other than including a superfluous tail hole and ears this should have no effect on non-felis wearers. Combined with a tech bodysuit for full protection. Armor currently has room for three tech upgrades," the spell returns.

This should be reflected in the damage calculations, as both physical and magic damage should be reduced.

Your objection has been noted. However Arcane Flux removes the magic defense and while the armor does reduce physical damage, physical damage wasn't considered in the calculations anyway.

Also don't know if you noticed, but I did actually try to fudge it in your favour. Ring of Sanctity and Not having another target for Yulia's envy are considered separately for extra points despite them both being the exact same effect in the context of this fight.

Armor is mostly only calculated in terms of damage taken at the end of combat and special abilities.

I don't think multiple weapons is going to work well, and the axe is clearly better for this fight (of the close range weapons anyway).
The prism staff could work though, as long as Yulia is well enough to use a healing potion she can recover from nearly dead. Now I'm really wishing we had thought of giving the suits potion auto dosing.

In that case the prism staff strat seems to be our best option

Basically all the spells we did last time and ending it with Searing Light. Yulia might have to chug a few healing potions while casting spells.

Also Yulia should keep her distance, going close range was what really screwed us over. Here is the second fight against Aqua to showcase this:

    Combat: Aqua

    Difficulty: 20

    Unaffected by the Water +10

    Touch Shock +10

    Flash Freeze +10

    Burning Grasp +10

    Demon Blade of Envy +10

    Immunity to Ice +10

    Life Drain +5

    Hardened Skin +5

    Offensive Magic Resistance +5

    Staying at Range -45

    Goma at 0 Mana -5

    Force Lance -5

    Icicle -5

    Blizzard -5

    Life Drain -6

    Puppet -10

    Lemiel -10

    Final Difficulty: -1

    Yulia's roll: 7

    Result: Success

I'd like to thank Gambio for looking up the second fight and seeing the bit about distance, I'll make sure to do that for the last couple fights. Glad Aqua is dead, and hopefully this fight will be more manageable. (Pun unintended.)

So the strategy here should be Mass Undermine, Blizzard, then using Open Sesame with the EMP Grenades. Use the plasma rifle (which shouldn't have limits on ammo in this fight, because it's recreating the previous conditions on the floor) as well as the usual offensive magic to fend off anything that gets to close. But hopefully using Open Sesame shenanigans with so many god damn EMP grenades will get us a huge bonus.

Also, curious we only have one round left after this. I guess we just had the one-on-one with Alide as part of her battle, so there's no need to rehash that. So that leaves The Rack as our final enemy. We'll strategize for that when that comes around, but I think Open Sesame plus Grenade Spam will prove effective there too.

An excess of emp grenades seems fine, there is no shortage of grenades to use after all. Don't use lightning (we learnt that lesson at least twice). But otherwise use everything. Because it's only one person not three we will be down a fight winning amount from the get go so we had better find something else to take advantage of (although we do have lights now, so that should help).

Yulia suddenly remembered that she is in an engin story.

It's definitely time to use our EMP grenades

Aside from Electricity, all spells are still a go. Mass Undermine should come in handy here.

I also suggest we equip the Veil of Hidden depths and fishbowl of illusion to throw off the enemy.

Also, use the Prism staff, we need the extra fire power from double spell damage and searing light
