I know this has been asked before, but all the ones I can find are several years old and the sites I've attempted to use don't show up when I add them to the story. Images I find online and link to are fine, but I can't upload my own. I've even created a private Discord and uploaded a picture there, but I can't get that to show up in my story either. Little help?
I have found that imgbox.com (you have to type the full name) is really good. It took me a while to workout how to use it but the upload is really user friendly. When it gives you the share option don't copy the full line just where it starts https
Discord image URLs are temporary, they only work for a day or so, maybe 2. But if you can't get them to work at all, then you're likely doing something wrong.
This topic has been done several times before, but it's one topic that I think is ok to keep re-visiting as the sites we use change their rules so frequently that it's good to have a fresh take on it. I've been through several different sites, the usual reason for having to switch to a new site is that they change their rules on porn usage. I've been using Free Image Host since Dec 2023, and it's working well for me. I've found through bitter experience that what works best for me is to save the pics to my laptop, then use paint or some other app to crop and re-size the pics, and then save them in a permanent folder and upload to the image hosting site. Saving to my laptop i have found to be vital, otherwise I have to go and source all those photos again if/when the hosting site goes down/changes its rules, which is a lot of work.
Yep. Never rely only on some random server on the Internet to preserve your files. That goes for images but also for your stories! Keep an offline copy!
