For those who use Grammarly, have you been having any issues with it lately? I've used the free version of Grammarly for ages, and it works well for me. But lately I've been having issues with it, two in particular: 1. It keeps 'forgetting' I've already edited the doc and made the changes. I've got a 50k word doc that the last time I used (a few days ago) was 'clean', fully edited within Grammarly so it showed no errors to be fixed. I opened it up today and it re-edited the whole doc, showing that I now had 1800 errors. I could just ignore them but it makes finding the ones I do want to change very annoying. It's done this a few times recently. 2. Comma's and semi colons- It's gone crazy on these, it keeps putting in commas everywhere, likewise semi colons. It's driving me mad. The vast majority I don't want to accept as a change. Other than the two very annoying issues above I find Grammarly very good, but these two problems are now such an issue for me I'm looking at other potential options. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I've noticed that many commas that I think might be optional are now seen as errors. No idea about the other issue, as I usually use it in the browser only.
One of my long-time friends from here left the site for good after they had some issues with the free version of Grammarly, which is a damn shame, because they were a really great writer, even if they had emotional issues, but that's a discussion for another day......
Yeah, they left the site for good in May,mostly for thier mental health besides the Grammarly issues, they had sent me messages multiple times over the past few years about being suicidal, deleting their account, coming back for a few days, then the cycle would repeat itself
This is why I write my stories split by release. I asked grammarly about this years ago and they told me that grammarly won't remember whether it's checked something or not. I use the paid version. Back then they had a word count limit so that's when I started. I don't think they have that any more. So for example my KDK story I'm writing on here is up to KDK110.docx.
