I was drawn there by the music of Erich Zann, yes, but it was what I saw out of his window that held be enraptured and drew me back, time and again, to the blind man's apartment. For there, through the window, were those that danced to his music. Who shed layers like falling leaves of autumn or the skin of snakes. Who slinked forward to the very threshold, more strange and terrible in their nakedness than any mortal creature...and then they blinked their many eyes, and licked their many lips, and slithered forward on clear heels to give me a lapdance.

You Are What You Wear A witch gets frustrated at all the costume parties, in particular because she doesn't like fake witches popping up every single Halloween. One day, she casts a spell where everyone at a nearby Halloween party actually becomes what they dressed up as. Oddly, the party she targeted was an 18+ student party where the theme of the year (like every year before it) was slutty costumes.
So anyone dressed as a witch gets witch powers they can use against her. It's not just witches, there's gonna be people dressed as Beetlejuice or superheroes. Not a great plan. edit: Maybe it works for the Bohemian Rhapsody stand and anyone wearing a costume is fated to experience all the things that happened to the character they dressed as.
Anyone dressed up as a witch, is no longer a "fake witch" so her plan has worked. Though technically they will be a "slutty witch" more likely, so most of them will be busy with stuff not related to finding out *why* this happened and who did it. EDIT: Also, sexy plan going horribly wrong is not that unusual in comedic erotica.

Going back to the "everyone becomes their Halloween masquerade costume" idea, I want to point out that there is likely someone who didn't bother to put on a costume and they are stuck being their boring self while people around them are walking around as superheroes or monsters. And a furry who is cursing that this was the one time they didn't put on their fursuit and went with something different.
And those two dudes who went as a horse, and now one of them has a horse's head and the other realizes from the waist down they're now a mare.
That would follow the logic. I suppose the intent of the costume might matter, but I also think that a witch spell causing hilarious and unintended consequences is very much part of the appeal of the story. Whether they panic at their transformation and suffer for dysmorphia because they have their original mind in a very different body, or if their mind changes too, depends on how the writer wants to have the story go. Former makes for more comedic and angsty story. Latter is an easier segway to "then they fuck."
Debating actually writing up a horror story this year for Halloween, instead of just pitching bad ideas. I'd like a bit of reader interaction, but that normally doesn't work out very well. Alternately, I could try doing a collection of nested narratives - campfire tales, stories within stories. Will have to think on it.
How about a collab story then? Try to recruit some other writers from the very beginning to take the story on different paths?
The costume was *too* good Halloween party for university students leads to sexy shenanigans. Unfortunately a brother and sister didn't tell each other what costumes they would be wearing and they don't recognise each other until they have already been making out for a while and headed into a room to fuck. ...And would it really be bad to go all the way? They could just blame the drinks and the costume if someone finds out.
What do you mean it was REALLY a haunted house?! A group of 20-somethings go on an adventure into an abandoned and ruined mansion past the edge of their town. Armed with their phone cameras, crystals (Jennie's family is into New Age stuff), garlic and whatever classic monster-research items they can scrounge up, the group of plucky young people split up in twos and threes to explore the mansion. Or to look for something valuable they can loot. Or to just have sex in a spooky mansion. ...What they don't know is that there is an actual ghost in the mansion. A very horny ghost who decides that rather than just scare these interlopers away from their final resting place, they could also have some fun by possessing someone and trying out just what the new body can do.
Still thinking about this. It's not that I lack ideas or the ability to execute those ideas, but there's rarely a plot that seems to really have legs and hook an audience. Folks that have read my stuff know I've got a preference toward body horror, occasional violence, moral degeneration and corruption. Doing that in a way that is also sexy and satisfying to me is the trick. I'm tempted to either take one of the more popular basic ideas here like Cheaper and run with it, or to pick a more basic premise and run with it until interest runs out. I've been meditating on a framing narrative of story-of-stories, a bunch of people who try to scare each other with increasingly scary stories.
Having committed myself to the terrible horror story idea, I'm not sure which *category* to put it in, since we don't have a separate Erotic Horror category. Thoughts?
