The plan is basic: - Each chapter is a very short erotic horror story - There will be 100 such stories That means I'm writing about 2-3 chapters per day and posting about as many, with a race toward the end. As of this moment I've written 28 candles, so I should finish in good time. However, shit happens, and maybe I won't finish by the 31st. But I will try. Some of these chapters will be nasty! Some will be creepy! Some will just be monsterfucking! Some will be just weird! This is your only warning.
As some folks may have picked up on, the scary/sexy content on these is going to vary. We're going to cycle through all seven storytellers, and they each have their particular themes. So Miu (candles 6, 13, 20, etc.) is going to tell tales of the Japanese cemetery, Jason (candles 7, 14, 21, etc.) is going to tell shows of the sideshow, etc.
Shenanigans and travel this weekend so I've fallen a bit behind on the weekend, but this is why I created a buffer. Will need to write extra hard to meet the Halloween deadline, for all six of you reading.
Currently have written 45/100 candles. That's still a lot left to write, and as expected for stories written this hastily, not all of them will be winners. That said, I think there are some interesting ones. Let me know what does and doesn't work, whoever's reading. Comments help keep me going.
These are nice little horror stories. My favourites thus far have been Case of the Sharecropper's Daughter and Grandpa's Dirty Book,
Yeah, I've got a few favorites. It is difficult sometimes to do some of these concepts justice in very short stories, and there's a definite campfire tale vibe to most of them.
Accidentally posted a few things out of order, but got it fixed now. Still have a lot more candles to write.
52 candles published, 75 written. On track so far to finish by the end of the month. Trying not to jinx it.
67 candles published, 89 written. Writing is still on schedule. Posting will continue until the 30th, when I dump everything except the 100th candle, which will go up on the 31st. It's been fun. These are written quick and dirty, and some are more creepy or kinky than openly horrific. Still, an interesting challenge. I've got a few of my own favorites of the bunch, but we'll see what folks think.
Okay, all the chapters are written, just need to be edited and posted. The last one will be on the morning of the 31st.
Anyway, my personal favorites - I rather enjoyed the Tales of the Sideshow and Tales of the Japanese Cemetery stories. Other than those, I liked "The Familiar," "Something in the Water," "Where's Mommy?," "The Alchemists' Daughter," and "The Old Gods Wait." Looking back, I can see that trying to write too many of these too quickly, there are a lot of similar plot elements. Pregnancy, incest, a bit of necrophilia, oral sex (somewhat surprisingly), and gender bending. If I ever did this again, I'd probably try for a little more variety.
Been thinking I might pick out one tale to expand into a fuller story. "Parasitic" has some potential, being probably the most fucked-up and disturbing of them all.
Don't know why I got a bug to build an index chapter last night, but I'm now aware that I used Wolff and Wolffe almost indiscriminately and I hate that.
