Not sure if a lot of people are going to get this one, since there's not a huge amount of sex and what sex there is is kinda fringe kink stuff. But it's a story I wanted to get out of my head, and after it's done maybe I'll do another one with different characters that has more mass appeal.

Age of the Orc - 11 is a bit of a hard chapter. Almost felt like putting a warning on it.

I do plan to do another Tolkienpunk tale, but life is hectic right now and I'm barely keeping up with Doomed. For whoever cares, however, here's what the original notes for AGE OF THE ORC looked like. There were a few changes between the outline to realization, but if you ever want to see how the sausage is made:

"Age of the Orc," where there's an Orc working on time-travel to go back to before the One Ring was destroyed, but then he thinks of his Hobbit girlfriend and destroys the device.

    - Mordor Cybernetics

-- Orc-led megacorporation that emerged as an Eastern syndicate to compete with Western megacorps; tied into Orc-supremist groups, upper tier are heavily involved with Broken Circle, White Hands are behind the labor unions that exploit cheap Orc labor to undercut Western prices.

-- Unexpected technological advancements, a flood of cheap electronics, followed by subsequent surprise advancements that put them years ahead of competition.

-- These advancements are due to archaeological excavations at Mt. Doom, which reveal technological components within the dessicated corpses of animals; evidence of backward time travel, information sent to the past to give Mordor Cybernetics a leg up.

Protagonist: Zoch (transwoman) Orc, outskirts of Barad-dûr. Recruited by Mordor Cybernetics, scholarship ride to study physics at the University of the Grey Havens. Closeted, pre-op transwoman. Early love of science fiction, foot fetishist from a young age. Does post-graduate work in temporal mechanics, invents a theory for information-based time travel. Requires a great deal of power, immense expense, limited geographic scope...

...Mordor Cybernetics has planned this, building a geothermal power station on Mt. Doom. Nominally to supply power to Barad-dûr, actually for his lab: Zoch is intended to produce the time machine that will send the artifacts into the past, guaranteeing the rise of Mordor Cybernetics. The Broken Circle's ultimate plan is to send a living Orc into the past to kill the Hobbits, win the War of the Ring, and usher in the Age of the Orc.

Love Interest: Eevin (female) Hobbit. Worked at the library at the University of the Grey Havens. Knows Zoch's secret, and encourages it. Moves in with him after University as his roommate; Zoch gets her a job as a favor from his boss. Dreams of a future where she and Zoch can be together openly. Descendant of Samwise Gamgee ("He had, like, eight kids a thousand years ago. You do the math.")

Friend: Morgrir (male), Orc. Zoch's creche-mate, unarmed combat champion. Prepared by Mordor Cybernetics as their time traveler. Firmly believes in the Broken Circle's ideology. Abusive. Skeleton laced with Mithril, making him nearly unstoppable.

Antagonist: Boldog (male). Minor maiar in Orc form. CEO of Mordor Cybernetics. Mind behind the whole time travel plan.

    -- T2-style time travel rules
-- "Music of the Ainur" - there is an informational substructure to reality. With enough power, temporal information in local geographic area can be changed, effectively sending something back into the past. Inanimate objects don't work; results in explosive detonation of the matter. Zoch hypothesised that there is a field, fëa, that living beings possess that helps define them as a discrete unit in the flow of information - a harmonious note, rather than a sudden interruption.
-- Initial success with animals reproduces the archaeological finds that built Mordor Cybernetics

General plot: Mordor Cybernetics wants to send Morgrir back to kill the Hobbits and deliver the plans for a basic submachine gun, to equip the armies of Mordor with overpowering force. Zoch has doubts, but Morgrir overpowers and rapes her, forcing the nerdy Orc to acquiesce. Secretly, Zoch plans her revenge...with Eevin's help. As the time travel experiment begins, Zoch silently kills Morgrir, while Eevin overloads the geothermal plant. The two make their escape as the plant explodes, triggering a minor eruption, driving off toward a dark Barad-dûr. The steam eruption cooks the chief executives of Mordor Cybernetics alive. In the past, the corpse of Morgrir arrives at Mt. Doom just after the Ring is destroyed and detonates, triggering a massive eruption... Zoch explains about the music of the Ainur and self-correcting code, how time travel works to correct potential paradoxes...and now, finally, she is free of the past and can look toward a future with Eevin.
