Here's a relationship diagram/family tree for Lucy's Portion as of the first chapter.
As descriptive text, I might summarize it thus:

Lord Jeremy and Lady Catherine are the older generation of Netherwoods, lately deceased, with Edmund Netherwood as the presumed heir. However, Lord Jeremy's sealed codicil to be opened upon the decease of Lady Catherine admits his infidelity with Margaret Longbottom, housemaid, and acknowledges Lucy Longbottom as his eldest child.

Lady Catherine was technically faithful to Lord Jeremy, but had sapphic lovers of her own social class, and used female servants for her sexual gratification, including Lucy Longbottom and Carlotta ("Chop-Chop") the cook, who volunteered herself in order to keep Lady Catherine off the kitchen maids. Some of Lady Catherine's lovers may incline favorably toward Lucy's needs, if she wishes to stay independent of men and marriage.

Margaret (Maggie) Longbottom is Lucy's mother, who saved money, left service, and now works as a milliner in London with a staff of pretty young women as models, hatmakers, and sexual partners. Maggie may have had a second daughter who is Lucy's sister.

Edmund Netherwood is married to Clarissa, a hot-blooded redhead who was likely unchaste before her betrothal and marriage, and possibly unfaithful since. Edmund has used both male and female servants sexually, including Lucy Longbottom and his footman Jack.

Clarissa is a tempestuous woman who craves sex, and Edmund uses this to control her by withholding or providing sexual pleasure for her. She may have a history of "lesbian until graduation" from her European finishing school which Annie and Sabrina are going to attend. Lord Jeremy's solicitors may have the goods on Clarissa's sexual indiscretions, and have been instructed to publish them to ruin Clarissa socially if Clarissa contests Lucy's portion of Jeremy's estate from his sealed codicil. Clarissa absolutely does not want Edmund to have cause to divorce her, because her marriage is her security in life and society.

Lucy Longbottom has, as of the end of the first chapter, received a surprise acknowledgment from Lord Jeremy that she is his firstborn child, with various consequences and inheritance portions which branch from the starting chapter. She has known no other life than service to the Netherwoods. Lucy may have a sister who is an air hostess on long-distance lighter-than-air trips.

The younger generation, age eighteen or a shade older, are Annie Longbottom and Sabrina Netherwood. Annie was most probably (or almost certainly, depending on the branch) fathered on Lucy by Lucy's younger half-brother Edmund. Annie is favored by Edmund and Clarissa as a cheerful young woman and dear companion to their daughter Sabrina. Sabrina and Annie are not very discreet about being sapphic lovers as well as dear companions, but for Sabrina's sake, it's mostly overlooked.
