This is a forum for discussing Perverting St Perpetua's.
I've had multiple offers for story suggestions, although I don't need any, I'm always open to any ideas. So if you have suggestions or preferences, please leave them here and I'll peruse them, and maybe use them. If you do offer any be aware, I've just finished publishing Part 2, I'm polishing Part 3 (around 70 chapter deep, nearly 200 chapters in total) before I start uploading and publishing it, and I'm most of the way through plotting Part 4 (of similar size), meaning even the best ideas probably won't get incorporated into the story until next year.

Also use this if you want to see more scenes with a certain character, or want to discuss any of the story threads, etc.

  2. Not so much a suggestion for new story arcs, but a request to condense the options. I took a look through a lot of the story options and it feels like a large number of them lead to nothing. There are some really interesting story splits, but then there are some completely inane ones that lead to back to back chapters of nothing. I realize you're trying to build the whole story out as a 'true' choose your own adventure, but I'd strongly recommend you drop most of the choices that lead to nothing and focus on two or three big arc divergences or even just a single path and then you'll come back to the other paths later. I definitely prefer Krystal to Blair in the teacher paths, but even Blair is better than what feels like chapters of nothing. I'm most excited to see more with Kelly and Ellie.

I've been thinking about this ever since you first mentioned it. Most of the choices do have purpose, but I believe the problem is I've introduced too much too quickly, such that most of the choices end with an introduction to a character or story thread and not much else. This means that the story is a lot slower burn than I originally conceived (and I conceived it as slow burn). This is compounded by the original plan more suited to a sandbox game than a choose your own adventure, meaning I feel compelled to give multiple opportunities to start many of the story threads which again suggests slow progress. In hindsight, I should have introduced less and developed those further.
Part 3 does have a high number of path choices, but a lot of those choices are based on previous decisions made, so the actual number of decisions you have are a lot less. In a high number of cases there'll be numerous branches, but only one of them will be active.
Part 3 does see more action. The Cornucopia of Cuties (Ellie & Kelly) really kicks into gear, and the alternative to that (which is one of the less developed threads in Part 2) actually goes somewhere. Hopefully by the end of Part 3 (which I admit might be too long for some people), you'll get a better vision of what I'm trying to do. This is my first attempt at doing something like this, having written only single path stories before, and I'm learning on the job.

  4. Definitely keep going. There's a lot of good stuff in here. I'm also curious to see more about the Snetterton Collection. For what is the main catalyst of the story, you haven't explored it much.
