Hey yall, I was wondering what your opinion is on posting short stories on chyoa. I recently wrote a 750 words story that did pretty well on literotica (750 word stories are an ongoing challenge over there), but absolutely bombed here. I thought it was too short to split up in multiple chapters and making 1 chapter stories felt weird too, so I started a short story collection for it. The collections intro got 150 views and the story itself only 50. Now I'm pretty sure I could get it at least a few hundred views if i didn't put it in a collection and used the actual title + a more attractive cover image, but I also kinda feel like it's just not worth doing? It's obviously not really the point of the site. Then again I have uploaded any other linear story here (always 2k+ words though) and they have done fine. Has anyone else tried uploading short stories to chyoa and what do you think is the best way to do it?
CHYOA and Literotica tend to facilitate very different posting styles, so I don't know the best way to advise you. Single chapter stories tend to get lost in the shuffle.
