Okay, I underestimated how far the ritual site/artillery was. I thought that it had been set up outside the encampment during the magic timeskip. If that’s the case, I think we should rest. The timey-wimey stuff means we’ll still be in time to stop the attack anyways, and I want us fully charged.

I see two options: either head back to Nagi and get our mana restored and take the boon, or accept Dreg’s offer since he’s on the way. I’m voting for Dreg, since I want to save Nagi’s help for now. And given Malphiel’s condition, could we leave Dreg to her?

Also, Saffiel, could you tell us about the wandering floor monster, which I assume is the Nephilim?

I do not see immediate need for any of Nagi's services right now, if we use Dreg's services. We probably should avoid fighting the floor monster until we have dealt with artillery and ritual if we can avoid the fight.

Interesting that Dreg doesn’t really know how to handle Take’s treatment of him. Curious to see where this will go as time goes on. Also good that we learned about the Nephilim now, in case we run into it. We should avoid a fight with it for now if we can, but knowing it’s immune to angelic magic will help us when we do get around to that.

For now, onwards to the artillery.

That seems really to be the way to treat Dreg.

    To the artillery.

Of course we meet the floor monster now.

I think Saffiel's suggestion is a good one.

This might actually be a good thing if we can play this right. After all, it targets angels and devils without regard for either. So we’ll focus on heading towards the enemy camp while evading this thing. First, spread out. Take, use your agility along with your smoke bombs and Cloak to evade it when it gets close. Malphiel and Saffiel, use some ranged attacks as needed to distract it if it gets too close to any of you. Our ideal is to make it to the enemy camp, and then let the Nephilim wreak havoc, but the priority should be evading it so we go into the next battle mostly ready for a fight.

Just make sure not to spread out too far and loose sight of each other completely.

From what I saw, I don't think Malphiel can outrun that thing even with help because of her broken wings and addiction to sex. So I suggest a plan, Take will use a smoke bomb, which likely to attract the Nephilim, to help her and Malphiel hide away. Then Saffiel can try injure one of it wing so it can't flight and lure it to the demon artillery or camp, the other two can safely follow behind.
    I also have some question:
    1. how does The Nephilim look around? Does it use echo location or just magic?
    2. what spell does Saffiel have and what those do?

I forgot, angelic magic doesn’t work on this thing. Any plans that use ranged attacks from the angels are out.
FrostGolem’s plan to have Take lure the monster away from Malphiel is probably for the best. Just in case, Malphiel should equip the helmet and gauntlets and be ready to charge in if Take calls for backup (if she can’t avoid a fight). Take can use Force Lance to draw its attention, with Cloak and the smoke bombs to evade it when it closes. Saffiel should just focus on having her healing magic ready and focus on support.

The Nephilim senses its surroundings with magic.

Saffiel has all basic angelic spells so to give you an idea of what Saffiel has available I'm just gonna repost Lemiel's spell list.

Lemiel Spells Known: Angelic Rays (Lvl 1, Mastered, cost: 20%), Heavenly Soothing (Lvl 1, Mastered, cost: 25%), Retribution (Lvl 1, Unmastered, cost: 100%, unusable, triggers automatically at 0% hp if Lemiel has enough Mana to trigger it), The One True God's Judgment (Lvl 1, Mastered, Cost: 100%), God's Light (Mastered, cost: none. Passive ability. Fully heals mana and health at the end of combat)

Also I nerfed God's light a little if I didn't mention it previously. It now only activates immediately after combat not at all times.

Well thank you for ruined my day.
Anyway does Malphiel kill count toward the challenge? I pretty sure Saffiel won't but does Malphiel count?

Saffiel killing the two imps earlier counted and deaths that were undone still counted, so yes Saffiel and Malphiel's kills count as do kills done during failed fights. The only kills that don't count are those done by Nephilim or enemies. Basically if Take has no direct or even indirect effect on the kill it does not count, but kills caused by Saffiel, Malphiel or of course Take herself do count.

I think Take should focus on disrupting the ritual while our angels hold off the defenders. Take, use Cloak and then throw a kunai at the one chanting. Focus on him with kunai and force lances long enough to disrupt his chanting, and then join the fray against the two defenders. I’m sure our angels are familiar with fighting demons, so just use your best judgment against these two. (The grenade would be handy here if they didn’t have a hostage, but it might be worth using on the artillery next.)

(As for the balance patch, I think it’s a great pick. It still fulfills the spirit of the original effect and is a crazy strong buff, but it prevents our infinite mana glitch from before)

I think use force lance won't be needed, just aim the kunais directly at his head should be good enough to end him and if Take miss, she can use her kusarigama. After that she can go rescue the hostage using the Crusher.
About the two angels, give Malphiel Take Ninjato and they should be good, the demonesses only have dagger and claw so the Ninjato and Saffiel swords can easily out range them. Btw if you guy can, don't kill those demonesses they might have useful information.

Phew, luck broke in our favor this time since that 4 would’ve been a wildly different result. As for the interrogation, I have a few questions.
    1. What was the purpose of this ritual? (We probably know, but I want to confirm).
    2. What would they have done if we lost? (We’ll keep this in mind when deciding their fate).
    3. Who is the overall commander for their force (Saffiel mentioned the Archdemon of Lust but we had time shenanigans since then) and who is their immediate superior?
    4. Where is the artillery?
    5. What do they know about the Nephilim?
    6. (Ask this after everyone else’s questions) What reason should we let them live?

As for their fate, I’m inclined towards just finishing them off. It’s a war after all, and I doubt they’d have been merciful to Take and co. But if they give a good reason to spare them, or Take has strong feelings about it, I’m fine with that.

Also, give the captured angel some healing and check on her. I’m not sure she’s in fighting shape even if we heal her but at least we can bring her back to the angel camp when we’re done here.

    A couple more questions:
    7. What are their names?
    8. Would they be willing to loyally follow the Chosen?
    9. What could they do for the Chosen?
