So random question here about the etiquette of rereleasing Chapters. There's a public story I didn't write with over 250 Chapters along with numerous different branches and lots of contributors all giving their own spin, some following a roughly shared canon others not. I'm not sure the original author is even on the site anymore. Anyway I have posted a whole separate story branch that is now becoming quite far removed from the core original concept. I also feel when I post new updates they get buried amongst all of the many branches (i.e the story goes to the front page but clicking on it will simply take someone to the first Chapter) I have been weighing up taking all of my Chapters, adding a few intro Chapters so it can be properly self contained and re-posting them as a fresh story that I can then continue. I was wondering if this is allowed or would I be breaking some rules? (For example it's not exactly spamming but some might see re-packaging Chapters a new as a bit off.)
If it's all your own work I really can't see a problem. Only issue might be if you used the original intro which wasn't written by you, but it doesn't sound like that is your plan. It might be worth adding a line or two at the top of the intro to the new story explaining the situation in case anyone wonders why they are reading the same thing twice.
