Sure, attaching. This is a fullscreen screenshot with the browser maximized, minus a narrow right-side column task bar. Desktop Browser is Win10 / Brave Brave is up to date Brave 1.92.134 (Official Build) (64-bit) Chromium: 150.0.7871.63 Maybe I should try opening in an incognito window to see if I've cached any CSS/JS. _Update:_ It's the same in an incognito window with a fresh login; about 3 1/2 list entries at 100% zoom with the browser maximized as the only app in Win10.
Story map is still having trouble with collapsing and delayed loading. For example in Sexual Privilege, collapse all and then expand level 2. Not all the level 2 chapters fit on screen. When it loads more, it starts ignoring the collapsed state and loads the rest as if uncollapsed.
Friedman: and thanks again for the update and the screenshot request. I'm pretty happy with the changes overall!
Ooo, total word count and words/chapter! Story activity chart! Recent chapter chart should show when chapters were published, though, not when drafts were posted.
Thanks for the screenshot and the details. Do you think it would make sense to remove the chapter text from the list entirely? That would make each entry much more compact and should allow more chapters to fit on the screen.
Good point. I’ve now introduced a separate published date, so the charts and dates in general should now refer to when chapters were actually published, not when drafts were posted.
About this type of message: The text "your comment" is not a link to the actual comment. Clicking on the chapter name opens the chapter itself, but does not scroll down to the comments and does not focus on the liked comment. Would it be possible to make "your comment" a link to the comment itself?
Thanks for the detailed report, Murakami. This should be fixed now. The story map should now preserve the collapsed state correctly when additional chapters are loaded. Please let me know if you still have trouble with the story map.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve implemented this now: “your comment” should link directly to the liked comment itself.
Removing the chapter text would make it easier for the way I like to scan through the list results. Other people might like to see the sample text. It looks like there's whitespace which could be used to split the difference, but my faint experience with web design tells me that that can be fiddly in ways that might not be worthwhile. -> I don't mind the snippet of sample text, but if giving it up is a simple change to give me more results per page, that would be my preference. Thanks for asking.
Notification "USER left a comment on the chapter CHPATERNAME" still links to top of the chapter, not comment in question.
I think it just takes a moment until the comments are loaded, and then it scrolls down. Can you check?
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve removed the author line, since the author is always you in this list anyway. That should save some space already. I’ll also check if I can improve the layout further.
https://chyoa.com/chapter/Blended-Ch-48.1873134 Link seems to be same also for notification about user liking my comments on the same chapter.
You’re right. That notification was created before the change went live, so its saved link only points to the chapter itself, not to the specific comment. New comment/like/reply notifications should include a #comment-... anchor now, which lets the page load the comments and scroll to the right one. Older notifications won’t be updated automatically, so this specific one will still open at the top of the chapter.
