I noticed a drop in total page views for my story, though individual page views and the trending metrics don't seem to be affected. Did something change recently in how total page views is calculated? Maybe it now excludes page views from the author or no longer counts views on deleted pages?
The story is https://chyoa.com/story/Beast-of-Burden.73303. It had over 96,000 views. I've been watching it since it was about to go over the 100,000 mark, but today it suddenly dropped to a little over 90,000.
Okay, I think I figured it out. I combined the first three chapters of the story exactly a month ago. This involved deleting two of the chapters. They must have sat in the deleted bucket until now. I’m guessing deleted content still contributes views to the total until they’re permanently removed.
