I started receiving aggregate notifications ("XXX and 2 others liked 10 of your chapters in Story Y"), which keeps the notification list cleaner but has a major drawback: I must hover my cursor on the "2 others" to see who it was, and I cannot click anywhere to see what chapters they liked or commented on. This requires me to go on each reader's individual activity page to find out what chapters they liked. Is there a way to click on the aggregated notifications to expand it and see the affected chapters, as well as who liked/commented on which one?
Aside from the fact that getting notifications about likes feels nice, I also have a system in place in my current story were liking a chapter gives the readers points which they then can spend on various things. So yeah, knowing which chapters was liked by who is kinda important to me XD
Thanks for explaining! Chapter likes are no longer aggregated, each notification now shows who liked which chapter, so tracking points should work again.
Thanks again for the feedback! I’ve reworked the notification grouping more thoroughly now: - Chapter likes are grouped only when multiple users like the same exact chapter. Likes on different chapters remain separate and link directly to each chapter. - Comment likes are grouped only for the same exact comment and link directly to that comment. - Bookmarks remain individual and link to the bookmarked chapter. - In a grouped notification, “X others” is now clickable and opens a list of the users involved, with links to their profiles. - New activity after a notification has been viewed creates a new unread notification. So if someone likes ten different chapters, you’ll see ten separate notifications. If several readers like one chapter, you’ll see one cleaner notification for that chapter while still being able to see who liked it. This should keep the notification list manageable without losing the information about who interacted with which chapter or comment.
