It's hard to join these groups sometimes because I don't frequent the RPG boards (and so don't always see these games start in a timely manner), but I'd be willing to play if a new one starts up (or if an existing group needs or accepts more players) I do have a head for RPG rules. I studied Pathfinder in the past, tried to GM Pathfinder with a group of my friends (all newbies, and myself being a newbie GM, with nobody ever playing with me before - no initiation. Quite a disaster. The fact that I practically bullied my friends into it didn't help). Also I'm kind of the in-group rulemaster/judge for my MtG group. Anyway hit me up in-topic or in a personal message if there's a new group starting and the GM is looking for more players (though no obligation!), and as long as it's remotely within my interests I would be happy to contribute as a player. Or others that are 'willing to play'... I guess make a roster? I dunno but I'm assuming other might be in the same boat as me.
Let's see... Tales of Horizon is an ongoing sign-up, you could talk to Jizzrar about meeting up with the team at some point. The problem is that we're already in the middle of a mission, so you'll probably have to wait to the end to sign up. And it's going slow (treacle slow), so that might take some time. And it's Sci-Fi, though you can play as a human. All the other RPGs are dead. So that just leaves a new game. I have half a plan to start something, but since I'm writing the rules for it from scratch, it will be a long time coming.
Interesting. Though, as I said this 'in the middle of a mission' stuff, which makes perfect sense, is a barrier to jumping in. So... Feel free to (and at the same time under no obligation to) let me know if your group is at a point where it wants a new player, or if there's a new start up.
