[CHYOA Universe] Erotica Search Engine

Hi folks,

I'm happy to announce a side project I've been working on for the past months. The goal is to increase the reach of CHYOA and attract more writers and readers.

The project is called SmutMD (https://www.smutmd.com/), and as you may have guessed by the name, it's an equivalent to PornMD, just for erotic literature. A search engine that pulls all sex stories in from the best erotic sites on the web. You can search Literotica, Lush Stories and CHYOA at once.

The site is brand new and I'm curious what you think about it.

Every shared porn-search-engine is a good engine. May I ask whether something similar to what PornIQ was is in the works? Because I really liked that thing and now its gone D:

Probably not, it was likely taken down for a good reason.

The ability to sort by views, likes, favorites, or word counts would be nice.(Unless it's there and I'm just missing it)

 

I believe that on the search result page, at least for chyoa stories, Favorites and Likes are mixed up.

I.e. if a fictional story has 2 favorites and 10 likes, then the search result will show 10 Favorites and 2 Likes.

I confirm that. And the stats of the stories are not updated in real time either. I checked my story by curiosity and it shows the inverted stats that correspond to the start or middle of last week.

I added it to Chyoa Suggestions so the readers can see it. A link under the Chyoa guide, chyoa forum, and Chyoa Patreon Link to the side, might help get the word out as well if not already planned.

 

Finding some good stories out of it but getting really mixed 'category' niches, many of which I quickly know are not what I'm looking for. Would be nice to be able and uncheck undesired categories for my search results.

 

Have you approached Fiction.Live about joining in?

So I have recently took a look at the tool again while sharing it with one of my readers. I noted that the word counting feature most be majorly broken, cause according to it The Gamer CHYOA Edition had only ~250k words when my branch alone has almost reached 800k (Yes, I have the data -from Office Word- to back this up).

 

Yes, the word count of the CHYOA stories on SmutMD are just approximations. It will be accurate as soon as the next CHYOA version comes out.

 

Can't wait for this update! Really want to see the true word counts
