I'm currently thinking about my second story. I've got a few ideas that keep coming back but I'm not sure where two of them would go. It would be a story based on a comic I read that was based on a community about anthropomorphic sentient futa planes. So on those grounds it could possibly be fan fiction. On the other hand I'm not going to be using characters from said comic or community, so it might be better off being sci-fi. I could just split the difference and have it be Miscellaneous but I wanted to know what others thought. My other story idea is a bit more vanilla but it's also based on a comic I read a while back that I can't remember the name of. The original comic was about a war between lions and prey for control of the savanna after the prey got sick of being used as sex toys to satiate the lions. The story I would write would be a more general conflict between two ideological groups that didn't depend on species. So the question for this one would be Fan Fiction or fantasy. Again I wouldn't be using any of the original characters or plot lines but it will be inspired by someone else's work. I'm considering a few other story ideas as well but those are the only two I would be confused on which section to put them in.
Futa planes could be called transgender, or sci-fi, or fetish. (I wouldn't call it fanfic if it's merely "based off" a work). As for the lions... I don't know.
If it isn't about the characters, the plot and the specific setting, it doesn't seem to fit fan fiction.
Thanks. Wasn't sure. Its still a bit of a ways off as I have to fully plot out the story lines and make the initial chapters but I wasn't sure what fan fiction really entailed.
