Somebody Likes You - Somebody out there liked one of your chapters. Keep posting like that for more! I Like It a Lot - Your chapters have been liked 25 times. Seriously Likeable! - Content you have published has attracted 100 likes. Can't Get Enough of Your Stuff - Your content has been liked 250 times. I LOVE IT! - Content you have published has attracted 500 likes. Keeps Coming Back - 30 chapters published. You must like it here! Can't Stop! - You've published 100 chapters. I hope this took you more than a day! Addicted - 1,000 chapters? Impressive! Serial Writer - 30 stories? Wow!
It does break my OCD heart that I can’t get veteran, especially because awards are ranked on the front page.
@Barty. I wouldn't mind the whole award system just get taken out myself. Gamification often leads to gaming the game. If that makes sense. For example, Addicted and Serial Writer seems to encourage spamming quick chapters and creating soon to be abandoned stories. But I understand the game elements add a lot to the experience of some folks, so it is here to stay. Also, personally I would like to see Veteran and You are very Generous not as awards but as simple badges you could see on the writers profile page since they have nothing to do with one's content on the site.
It would be nice to have a counterpart to the Veteran award for all users who can't get it after being a member for, let's say one or two years.
