As one might expect, I dislike the idea, at least at first glance. The idea of a university that turns perfectly normal women into 'sluts' seems very non-con based, which, for me: is a huge problem. However, like many ideas, at least ones this nebulous and new, there are ways you could spin it that would, for me, be a lot better. In this case, let's start with the target group: Women. Why? Guy's can be total sluts too! So, change one: it's a mixed gender campus, and EVERYONE gets slutty. (Yes, even the faculty.) Now that we've made things equal opportunity: change two: they become sluts, sure, that's the whole idea here: but not STUPID. They become what the people I interact with in my rather eclectic group of IRL friends call "Ethical Sluts". Condoms will be used, not so much for pregnancy prevention as to reduce the transmission of STDs: so this applies to both men and women equally. They will inform their partners right off that exclusivity is not in the cards: if they find someone with whom they DO desire exclusivity, they make sure that both parties are OK with this and break it off with all their other partners. (Conversely, however, polyamory will be commonplace.) Most importantly, while, yes, they will be sex crazed, they won't let it bleed over from their private life into their professional one, unless, for example, they decided to deliberately and consciously mix business with pleasure by becoming a porn star. Most importantly, they will neither condone nor encourage sexual assault or partners with exclusivity agreements betraying their S.O.'s trust. (Convincing their S.O. to bring another member/members into the exclusivity arrangement is a whole other issue that I'm not going to deal with right now.: except to say that, it's tricky, hard to do well, and some people simply can't handle it, but far from all...) Change Three: my big issue, of course, is the non-con aspect: but, with a little applied-handwavium, that ceases to be a problem. The crux of change three is simple enough: the campus, for whatever reason, only attracts people whose innermost selves WANT to be slutty. The repressed minster's daughter, the 40-year-old virgin, the formerly slutty rape victim who can't bring herself to trust after what she was forced to endure (or himself/he, that's more common than you might think...), the guy who already IS a slut (but needs to learn how to do it ethically...), and so on. Those are my recommendations.
Well... according to dictionaries' definitions... no... ignoring the gender within the definition but taking account of the general opinion... no... "People" is a ridiculously broad term. A majority of males, in the USA, tend to think this. Try polling groups of random women, like say in a mall, and I think you will find your results skew overwhelmingly against that opinion. However, moving on. And, again: it needs to be a mixed gender campus: because, you know, male porn stars? You think only female stars in the porn industry end up regretting their involvement? I think it would be more fun as a secret motive, probably a mind control story. for me, it would have to be a situation where the women either know something odd is happening to them but can't pinpoint it or they hate becoming sluts but can't help it, or they are given a sexual fetish they find disgusting, but it turns them on so much they must give into it. If they just start craving sex, I would find it boring. Also, if they are turned into sluts, think it's normal, but their family and friends are shocked and disgusted, that might be interesting. A revenge aspect could be worked in too
