This isn't a big issue. I think I read this in another forum post. But it seems like the thread view counter is broke again? My threads are reading 0 when I have a comment posted on it . I know it was fixed a little while ago. I just don't know if it is suppose to be manually "set" by site admins or if it was to be automatic.
I assume that the width of your browser was lower than 992px. Chyoa switches in this case to the tablet version where the links aren't displayed. That's right. You can now find the thread id in the title of the thread review (if you click on "Rate this thread or leave a comment"). That shouldn't be. Can you tell me which thread it is?
I've looked at your threads and the only ones with a 0 are your linked thread (that's how it should be at the moment). Either everything works by now or I've misunderstood your bug report? It takes about 1 day to update the views.
Nope it looks like everything works. Thanks. That's weird. It was zero till you looked at it. I'll let you know if it keeps showing up.
I think I may have found a bug. On some of the older stories that were brought over from the old chyoo site the " and ' were replaced with ? though any of the threads that have been either updated or newer thread seem to be fine. I noticed it on Divorce and the Twins when I looked it up on the new site.
Non-ASCII characters like "smart quotes" didn't make it. It's a known issue and probably (Friedman?) not fixable without a tricky re-import. Same thing happened during the Chyoo 1 to Chyoo 2 migration. -Z.
Unfortunately there is no automated way to fix this. Everyone will have to repair these cases manually. If it were tried there would be no way to distinguish between erroneous question marks and correct ones.
When on mobile (android), if making a post, comment, etc., anytime you use double space to produce a period, it deleted the character immediately before the space.
Was looking at Zingiber's story "When the cat's away" and there are a threads that say no title and has no body to it. Just wondering if this was something the write did or something else?
Twiztid, so far as I know, there is none. Friedman said it has something to do with how the new site architecture works. There's a way to link threads, but all of the linked threads would have to be redone manually.
TC! Good to see you. I've been doing the '?' fixes on some of your old threads. I'll take another look at the broken links at some point. -Z.
Hi, I've been seeing a weird bug on the story map in my story "At The Cabin". From the thread "96.1. A lucky turn, for the guy in the rain" written by Vain, the subsequent threads get displayed in a weird way that makes them impossible to click. The bug only occurs on the desktop version, on mobile it's fine.
duskford: What browser/OS are you using for your "desktop version"? I don't see any problem with threads 96.1+ being clickable, but I'm using Opera 12.17 on Windows 7, which is probably a narrow minority.
