I'm not sure what category of topic this falls under but the question stands. With any luck, I will be starting to get a full-time job soon. It's good, because I like money. Between going to the gym and volunteer work, I don't do much. So it only really impacts my schedule in the mid-day for me, but it's fine since not much typically seems to happen before morning or night. But, it got me thinking about how other people normally budget time here. Obviously, people have different time zones and do different things, but I just wonder what a typical routine for other people. Would you say that you are consistent with the amount of time you spend? Do you still update/post regularly? What would be your definition of what "regularly" is? So just give thoughts. or talk about what you do that makes your schedule work for you.
In-so-far-as-possible: not having one. This might sound flippant, but I work from home because I don't interact well with the public, and my job gives me a very flexible schedule. Again, in-so-far-as-possible, I don't leave the house, I'm at my desk on my computer, in bed on my tablet, or pacing up and down brainstorming pretty much every waking moment. Even when I do have to go somewhere I take my smartphone and travel by bus: so I'm composing more content then too... Don't know how/if that helps, but that's how I do what I do...
I can't say to be regular, so i'm not a good example. That said, the most followed and appreciated writers update almost once per day, when they are active. Some even more than that. For me it would be impossible, but for you, i can't say. How much you would say that you write per day?
Although I check in daily on my phone, I only have a few hours a week to actually post for stories. I live in an area where internet is scarce but I visit my grandma once a week to help with any work that needs to be done around the house so i borrow her internet and Netflix while I take breaks for lunch and such.
I've got a full time job, this is just a hobby - first time I've tried to write anything erotic, so playing around with things, treating it as a creative exercise. I only do a scene or two, which are fairly quick to write. If I miss a day, I miss a day. Nobody seems to mind much yet.
Lately i'm getting a little bad but what i normally do is keep ten stories active at all times, update two each day before taking a break. Then start all over again. With some it's easy with some I find the more I update the more new people find then ten my other works! All i can suggest is to try to a lot time that you would spend on something else and update here if possible!
