So, wondering if anyone wants to do a supers game?

I'm looking at something in an original world, no DC or Marvel baggage to deal with.

As for system I'm thinking a modified version of the one that's being used by GenericEditor for his AGENTS OF LUST game.

It would be an erotic game.

    Any takers?

I like superheroes so anytime it's brought up I'm definitely interested. However, I would like to see details on game mechanics and a character sheet before I commit to anything.

Can I play a reptilian thing? If yes, I'm in.

Some answers to the questions: (In reverse order.)

@GenericEditor168 : Yes, a reptilian character of some kind is perfectly acceptable.

@Omegah2o : Copy/pasting from GE's advert thread... (With the Addition of the Perception stat and some other small changes.)

    Character Sheet:

    Name:

    Gender:

    Age:

    Race:

    Appearance:

    Orientation:

    Strength:

    Agility:

    Precision:

    Constitution:

    Willpower:

    Perception:

    Intelligence:

    Wisdom:

    Charisma:

    Technique:

    Notes:

The character’s name, gender, and age are fairly obvious concepts.

Orientation is the character’s sexual orientation. Make sure to fill this in, if you don’t you may be in for some unpleasant advances.

Appearance is the complete or near-complete appearance of your character. A picture is acceptable here, but so is a block of text. You can leave things out of your appearance on character creation and declare them in-game instead if you do this please edit your character sheet to reflect the changes.

This is the character’s race. Each race will give a benefit to the character – never something that directly translates into statistics, though. I will assign you your benefit after you tell me your race, you are then free to change it or lobby for a different option.

I encourage players to take a non-human race, but this is entirely up to individual choice. Anything is allowed, race-wise.

    Statistics

You start with 100 points to distribute among the following stats:

    Strength

    Agility

    Precision

    Constitution

    Willpower

    Perception

    Intelligence

    Wisdom

    Charisma

    Technique

    ---

    Strength represents pure physical strength.

Agility represents how nimble you are, how fast you can move etc.

Precision represents your fine motor control.

Constitution represents your physical resilience and endurance.

Willpower is the mental counterpart to Constitution – it represents your mental resilience and endurance.

Perception represents your senses and awareness - those with high perception can notice details others might miss or sense an impending ambush.

Intelligence represents your education and learning, and the ease with which you gain more – it is used to understand complex concepts, recall facts, complete feats of mental might, and so on.

Wisdom represents your mental quickness and common sense. It is used to work laterally, think quickly, realize that something that can be done shouldn’t be, and so on.

Charisma represents your ability to charm, impress and persuade. It’s a mixture of beauty and skill with words, both natural and crafted.

Technique – and now we come to the inevitable reminder that this is a porn site. Technique represents your general sexual skill. Other stats might be used in certain areas of the bedroom, but Technique is the glue that binds them, the overarching skill for sexytimes.

Using skills in place of others

This is rare, but it does happen. If a character has a reasonable explanation for why they should be rolling on a different stat, I will allow them to do so, as long as it is not abused. Examples might be –

Using Intelligence in place of Charisma to put forward a logical argument rather than an emotional one.

Using Charisma in place of Intelligence to get information, asking friends and contacts rather than thinking it over yourself.

Using Agility or Precision in place of Strength to make combat attacks with two hand weapons (Agility) or a rifle (Precision).

After each task is completed, the characters will grow in strength and gain another 5 points to distribute amongst their stats, like at character creation. In addition, in-mission development may lead to stats being raised, and pieces of equipment or specific training might be gained that gives effects in certain areas.

People wishing to join once the game has started can do so at any reasonable point – reasonable points include when a potential PC has a chance to approach the party, or between missions.

    Using stats

Most actions (excepting conflict, see Conflict below) use a simple system – a difficulty is assigned, 1d6 is rolled, the stat is added, and then the character has something happen to them based on the results.

Modifiers are not used outside of conflict – any modifiers that apply to a normal action are added to the difficulty.

    Conflict

Conflict is two parties, with differing aims, attempting to prevent the other party reaching their aims. This can be done in several ways – there’s social conflict, mental conflict and of course physical conflict – but it’s always resolved the same way.

One side rolls 1d6 + their attacking skill, while the other side rolls 1d6 + their defending skill. Modifiers are added, and then the victor either remains unharmed (for the defender) or hits their opponent and does damage (for the attacker). If a side wins by a large enough margin, additional effects might be applied – penalties or additional damage are the obvious results.

Damage varies but is normally 1d3 to the defending skill.

The roles are then reversed, the former defender now attacking the former attacker. Obviously, as the conflict drags on, one side will begin to weaken. Conflict is over once everyone one side hits 0 in a stat. At that point, they are defeated, and the victors may apply penalties as they wish.

In lieu of attacking, the attacker may perform one of the following actions, after which their turn is up –

Attempt to create an effect in the conflict area. I will assign an appropriate stat to roll against, and a normal action is taken to create the effect.

Change fighting styles. By swapping between types of argument, stance or pieces of equipment, a character can change what stat they roll on, either for attack or defence. A character may set their defence or attack stat to be the same, this does not cost an action unless the new attack and defence stat wasn’t being used for either of them to begin with*, and in sexual conflict a character may change back to using Technique at any time, without costing an action.

*This is a little unclear. Allow me to explain by way of example:

Fighter A and Fighter B are dueling with pistols (Precision). Fighter A is the attacker, he is defending by dodging (Agility). If fighter A were to cheat, and draw a rapier, this would not cost him an action, as he is bringing his attack style into line with his defense style. However, if he was to cheat by grabbing his cane and aggressively blocking away B’s pistol, this would cost him his action, as his new attack and defense stat is completely new, though both are the same (Strength).

The attacking and defending skills may vary, even in the same field of conflict. Here are a few possibilities -

Physical conflict: Attacking with Strength (for weapons that rely on brute strength such as axes or clubs), Agility (for weapons that rely on speed such as swords or knives) or Precision (for weapons that rely on accuracy, i.e. most ranged weapons). Defending with Strength (to block the hit) Agility (to dodge the hit) or Constitution (to take the hit without harm).

Social conflict: Attacking with Charisma (for clever, barbed wordplay) or Intelligence (rare, for a logical argument). Defending with Charisma (to cleverly reply in turn), Intelligence (to present a logical counterstroke) or Willpower (to simply ignore it and move on).

Mental (Magical) conflict: Attacking with Intelligence or Willpower. Defending with Willpower or Intelligence.

Sexual conflict: Attacking with ANY stat, except Willpower, though stats other than Technique are at -1. Defending with Technique or Willpower.

Cool. Now since this is a superhero story, how might power selection work? Are you constructing a list? Or can we just declare one or two or however many?

I'm tempted(I even have an idea for a heroine), but I have my doubts. When i think of a Superhero RPG in this format, I would probably rather have something based more around Roleplay and Storytelling(such as the old Monster Girl Adventure) than one based around stats and dice rolls.

With Superheros...Everyone wants their OC to be...well....Super and it's difficult in an RPG setting when limited to certain mechanics to portray the superheros as super-powerful while still portraying that there are still threats out there to them in a satisfying way.

Oh well, I'll do it. I keep hoping that these PBP games will bring back my mojo and I don't have anything to lose or gain by not playing.

    Name: Morgana
(also goes by Amun-Ra. See Notes)

    Gender: Female

    Age: 20

    Race: Demigod

    Appearance:

Morgana is an attractive twenty year old lady with blue eyes and brilliant blonde hair that is quite long. She's quite tall and stands about six inches above the average male. Her skin is slightly tanned(not shown in image) and is devoid of nearly any blemish, freckle, or mark outside of a small Ankh-shaped birth mark under her right breast(also not shown) hinting at her divine origin(again. See Notes). Her breasts are large, but not enormous. Probably a large C-cup or a small D-cup.

She also has a preference for extravagant clothing and Gold Jewelry.

    Orientation: Bisexual

    Strength: 20

    Agility: 8

    Precision: 8

    Constitution: 14

    Willpower: 12

    Perception: 6

    Intelligence: 12

    Wisdom: 7

    Charisma: 10

    Technique: 3

    Notes:
Despite the fact that technically both Morgana and Amun-Ra would be a correct way to address her and the latter she would take as a much greater sign of respect(and subservience). I will generally refer to her OOC as Morgana. Although in-character, she'll tend to waffle between them depending on the circumstances.

Morgana is the second reincarnation or third incarnation of the ancient deity Amun-Ra who in his time ruled as a Sun god and King of his pantheon of gods(I don't know if Ancient Egypt is a thing in this world or if we're going somewhere entirely fictional, so i wanted to make it vague). While she is the Third Manifestation of the ancient deity's powers. She does not have memories of the first(and original) or second incarnation. Although she does have some curiosity in learning about the latter. She's left to forge her own path.

Thanks mostly due to her divine nature, Morgana has an incredible font of strength and durability to draw upon(thus her huge strength score and great constitution score). She also has a fair amount of intelligence and mental fortitude. Then there is her Charisma. Her charisma, while not low by any means is almost entirely due to her physical beauty. Personality-wise, she's arrogant and proud and will often take her own opinion over others. These flaws temper themselves slightly when she drinks(wine, of course) and she'll become somewhat more open. However, she's the reincarnation of a powerful god and she believes that she should be treated as such. This leads into her other flaws both from a statistical stance and from a character stance.

Morgana has the precision of a bull in a china shop. Why pick the lock when you can punch the door down?
Her agility is quite lacking due to her reliance on her divine strength and fortitude and the same goes for her wisdom.

Then we get to her technique. Morgana has had sex with men and women numerous times. More than a Technique of 3 would attribute to. However, she cares about the pleasure of one person. Herself. This often leaves her partner disappointed.

Now we get to powers and Nemo hasn't really explained how we're going to do that. However, just to round things out.I figured I should just give a general idea of what she could theoretically be able to do. Although currently it's only really two things as Morgana isn't nearly capable of wielding the full extent of her powers yet and may not ever be able to during the extent of the campaign depending on how Nemo rules powers and power use.

    Powers:
Semi-Immortality. Thanks to being a demigoddess, Morgana is effectively ageless and biologically immortal. She won't age or become ill and will eventually over decades regrow any severed appendage or organ(unless special situations apply). However, she can still be killed, stabbed, obliterated, etc...As should be obvious from the fact that she's a third incarnation.

Divine Fire. On top of being King of Gods, Amun-Ra was also a Sun God. This gives Morgana immunity to fire and a powerful affinity for it and the manifestation of flames into powerful blasts and with Morgana's Hubris: The more, the better.

King of the Gods. The true legacy of the King of Gods. Her connection to the ancient being allows her to temporarily manifest divine tools to assist her. These tools are powerful artifacts such as (but not limited to) The Armour of Set, The Wings of Horus, and the Scepter of Ra with the power to bathe cities in divine fire. However, due to her youth and all around lack of experience. She cannot manifest any of these tools for more than a few seconds at a time at most. Even if she could, these artifacts are infused with divine essence and has a will of their own. Morgana would have to be powerful enough to manifest an artifact long enough to use it and countermand its own will in order to use it and not say...level an entire city. (This would be pretty much how she would acquire new powers if that's a thing and for funsies it doesn't just have to include ancient Egyptian pantheon stuff).

Anyway I'm not really sure if this is exactly what Nemo is looking for. Part of the stuff copied over from Agents of L.U.S.T. mentions preferring a nonhuman race, but I'm assuming that's just something that accidentally got copied over and we can be pretty much anything. Also not sure how the whole reincarnated demigod will go, but hey superheros need some backstory to explain their powers and demigods and gods aren't really new to the Superhero genre. Even though i'm not really sure if the campaign is even going to occur on Earth.

Edit 1: Had to enter in a new image due to the previous one disappearing.
Edit 2: Flexed my Photoshop-Fu to change the eye colour to the proper one.

I've been going back and forth between two different characters. But considering that the game would be run by @Nemo of Utopia , I think this one is the best choice.

Name: Zachary "Zack" Zorinson (aka Thunderstrike)

    Gender: Male

    Age: 26

    Race: Human

Appearance: Zack has short blond hair that is styled fashionably, bright blue eyes, and a light stubble beard. Physically fit with slender muscle and tall frame, at 6'1 and 182 lbs Zack is considered handsome by conventional standards.

In combat Zack wears a protective battle-suit. The under-armor is a lightweight, fully flexible, and comfortable material which allows for full range of motion. Fitting over the under-suit are hard plates that offer superior protection to less mobile areas such as the chest, shoulders, arms, and legs. The joints are covered by a less rigid (and less protective) material. The palms of his gloves have been removed as have the fingertips from the second knuckle to allow for him to use his powers. (General thoughts should lean towards MASS EFFECT style armor, but I couldn't find an image I found suitable.)

    Orientation: Heterosexual

    Strength: 8

    Agility: 8

    Precision: 14

    Constitution: 8

    Willpower: 8

    Perception: 15

    Intelligence: 15

    Wisdom: 10

    Charisma: 8

    Technique: 6

Notes: Zack has been in the superhero game since he was a teenager, having worked as a sidekick to, and later partner of, one of the more well known superheroes. As such he's met many of 'The Greats' and has even worked with some. After being in the superhero game for a decade, Zack has learned to watch and analyse everything (accounting for his high perception and intelligence).

Although physically fit, Zack is no stronger, faster, or tougher than any normal human (hence his rather mediocre physical stats).

Having been in the business for a while, Zack has seen and lived through things that no one should. The experiences he's had have shaken him somewhat (thus his sub-par willpower) and have caused him to become somewhat aloof. Now considered 'the strong, silent type' Zack isn't overtly friendly; and while he certainly has the experience and intellect to lead, his rather distant personality makes it difficult for people to get to know him and thus trust him (explaining his unimpressive charisma score).

Constant analysis of the battlefield has made Zack pick and choose his shots. He might not be the strongest, fastest, or smartest guy in the fight, but it's a safe bet to say he's the most deadly (precision is meant to be his primary offensive stat).

Zack could be a lover, but having split his teenage years and his twenties between school, work, and well other work has left little time for a social life. He's had a couple of girlfriends in the past and while he's no virgin, it's safer to say he's not as well experienced with the fairer sex as he'd like to be.

Powers: Zack's body absorbs ambient energy and stores it. He may then release that energy in powerful blasts that can be emitted from any point on his body (usually his hands); the blasts themselves resemble bolts of lightning which led to his code name: Thunderstrike. The exact limits of his powers remain unknown, but he's mastered a discharge from his hands which can travel quite some distance. As such ranged combat really is his 'bread and butter' when it comes to his superhero life. Although not defenseless in melee combat, if the enemy ever gets that close it means something has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

Hmm, I didn't really think of a special name for Morgana or any kind of secret identity. However, considering her personality. She isn't really one for that kind of subterfuge.

Hell, she'd probably revel in the fame and wealth that comes with being a celebratory figure. Although if one were to take certain approaches. It would also mean that theoretically she would be particularly exposed to legal issues and "haters" for her actions.

Hopefully she has a good lawyer and she probably wouldn't mind the haters either.

I'm curious what the other idea was now...

  20. lknight

    lknight Really Experienced

Name: Karna Varnas (Taken to the name 'Fido' at times)
    Code Name: Wild Hunt
    Race: Canid
A race of canine like creatures from Andromeda, they inhabit the world of Genama. Standing slightly shorter than the average human, they have humanoid features, save for fur covering their bodies, canine like face, and claws at the end of their features.
    Age: 28
    Sexual Orientation: Straight
    Sex: Male

Standing at 6' even, Karna is a relative giant for his species, something he takes a great deal of pride in. Covered in a deep grey fur, with dark hued ears and snout, the Canid could very easily pass for the legendary were wolf, save his ability, or rather his suit's ability to translate human language. Beyond this, Karna heavily augments himself with technology and a suit, which appears to be gun metal armor with golden trim. While he appears muscular, he is in fact more athletic and lanky rather than a powerhouse.

Beyond this, Karna is armed with an Omni-Gun at his back, and at ragged cloak. A wrist mounted computer, which helps him control his various suit gadgets, and the omni gun itself.

    Back Story:
Canid are a hostile race. Karna could get over that. They sought to subjugate the entire galaxy. Karna could live with that. But, according to him, the reason he left the planet was because 'the bitches were to loose, and the food sucked'. Former military with the Canid Imperial Shock Troops, Karna was dishonorably discharged after he simply got sick of invading low tech planets, and stopped following orders. Kicked out of his unit, his pack, and exiled, Karna went out on his own, becoming a bounty hunter for hire.

Arriving at Earth to hunt a tentacle creature, he teamed up with various super heroes when the creature he was hunting used its powers to assemble a small army of its own. Catching the creature, Karna returned, feeling a sense of fufillment there. Or perhaps it was the food? The reality is, Karna enjoyed the hunt, and seeing budding villains on the rise... well, a bounty hunter goes where the action is.

    Personality:
A bit jaded, Karna is not above doing underhanded things to get his quarry. That said, he's seen the worst the galaxy has to offer, and the so called 'best'. He finds most heroes to be wanting, declaring themselves just, while secretly on their own agenda for wealth or power. Karna knows he's the same, but is first to declare he's just more honest about it. That said, he's pretty sexual, and will generally take sex offered to him by a willing, or at times unwilling villainesses.

    Strength: 5
    Agility: 16
    Precision: 16
    Constitution: 9
    Willpower: 10
    Perception: 12
    Intelligence: 7
    Wisdom: 12
    Charisma: 5
    Technique: 8

    Powers
Karna possesses all powers natural to his own species. Beyond this, he has military training, and what he calls 'real world' experience at hunting individuals that don't want to be found. Beyond this, Karna is not a super human, and is heavily reliant on his suit to make up for the lack of. Karna possesses the following equipment.

Omni-Gun: A Specialized gun, the Omni Gun is capable of firing lethal and non-lethal blasts of concussive energy outwards. While far more destructive than a standard rifle, it is still based on an energy clip size and Karna's Marksmanship. The Gun is by no means indestructable, and is electronic in nature.

Wise Guy CPU: The Tactical computer AI 'Wise Guy' is an AI that assists Karna's use of his suit. It regulates his life support, acts as a tactical analysis helper. It can quickly analyze and deduce most any combat situation, although has no intel on things such as magic, or non-visible psionic powers.

Steel Wolf Armor: A Canid Assault suit, modified, and dubbed Steel Wolf Armor. The Armor acts as a contained suit, offers protection from kinetic and energy based attacks, projecting an 'invulnerability' field around itself. The Suit has the following powers.

-Invulnerability Field: A projection of Kinetic energy that deflects attacks of a certain magnitude, roughly that of a tank blast, before failing and having to recharge.

-Life Support: The suit provides air and temperature regulation for the wearer. Due to its self contained nature, it is immune to standard toxic gases, the vacuum of space, and underwater pressure.

-Rocket Flight: The suit is armed with jump jets, granting limited flight, and as Karna would call it 'more of a hop'.

The Inherent weaknesses of the suit is that is pure technological, and can be overcome with sufficient amount of force. It can also be worn by anyone, assuming they're capable of stealing the suit, or overriding its security measures, but still only serves to augment their combat ability.
