Hi, another day another suggestion, I know, I know, give someone else a chance but I don't think anyone else is going to think of this any time soon. It's fairly trivial really, but what if, in addition to all the other data it stored, game mode also kept track of any changes you made to the defaults for user controlled name variables? Heck, I'm not entirely certain it doesn't already...
As far as I know, the values for immersion variables gets saved with the session, so I think they should be available until you have to enter your login data again.
Ah, yes, but: here is the interesting trick of adding it to the save file data, one could switch between machines/devices and would still be just as you left it...
Hmmm... Additionnally, maybe we could get a defalut replacement to "John Doe" tied to each account, so when it's the first time you read a story and the author didn't bother to create his own default name, it would immediately be changed depending on your settings.
I'm pretty sure that I read this before but couldn't find a suggestion about that. Maybe you want to create a suggestion thread for that. (Though personally, I don't use the original variable names {first_name} and {last_name} at all as they are much too long to write but variable names like {f} for a female character or {m} for a male character)
I think what you all are referring to is THIS, which was a suggestion a while back to replace Jhon Doe as the default but on a sitewide level. (Which, BTW, I still support, and so should you...)
