This thread is where players can come to bid on available slaves each season: generally, we will try to have three slaves on offer per active player (discounting NPCs) each season + three more each season (noncumulative). The template for slaves is as follows: Name: Race: Quality 1: Quality 2: Specialties: Gender: Age: Lot #: The slaves offered for the first season will be posted in a post immediately following this one. All Slaves are kept in temporal stasis vaults until purchased, and so do not age or gain specialties and so on... This is an ultra slow auction: when someone bids, another bidder has 24 hours to outbid them, and so on. If possible the game moderators will say "Do I hear (current bid +1) on the lot (slave's number)?" at 6 hours, "Lot (#) Going once!" at 12 hours, "Lot (#) Going twice!" At 18 hours and "Lot (#) Sold, too (rough description of the winning bidder)!" Just after 24 hours pass. It is also worth noting that any player may CREATE a lot for a "Generic Servitor Drone" at any time simply by putting down a name which follows the following rubric (three capital letters)-(three numerals) and filling out the rest of the sheet as follows: Name: (as above) Race: Human Quality 1: Generic Servitor Drone Quality 2: Generic Servitor Drone Specialties: None Gender: Neuter Age: 23 Lot #: (highest number of current season so far +1) Then bidding 1 credit +surcharge on that lot.

The governor barked over the assembled 'crowd' gathered in the holographic auction hall of the Gubernatorial Palace's "Manse" in the planetary capital of "New Edinburgh", the coastal port city at 'The Eastern Edge of the World'. The Governor knew he shouldn't worry, they'd had no births of sapient beings on Skyfandrious yet so the timer for world formation hadn't begun to count down, but still, more than a year in since founding and only three plantations, four by certain metrics... So far things didn't bode well...
Seeing where the newcomer was bidding his starting coin, the more established owners decided to make their plays elsewhere, for the time being, to keep matters civil among their small store of associates. Mr. Washington spoke up for "Vernal Mountain" plantation at 1 Palisades Road: "Vernal Mountain bids one-credit-principle and three-credits-surcharge on lot-number-one for an overseer for our existing servants," He intoned solemnly, and sat down. The Widow Klegshor was next to rise, taking a slightly more aggressive approach, but not an antagonistic one, at least not yet. "Cold Comfort Farms bids one-credit-principle with a one-credit-surcharge on lots two and six, the first to settle the roving eyes of my existing slave Patchouli Alonzo, the second to train up as a Mamluk for defending my plantation against Mystfolk raiders who are sure to come eventually," She declares before taking her seat again. "Bids Registered," the governor states and the waiting game begins to see if this tentative accord will be broken or if anyone will bid on lot 3 or request the formatting of a Generic Servitor Drone...
With no contesting bids registered in the time allotted the holographic auction hall was shut down, and the slaves loaded onto Myst Skimmers to be transported to their destinations.
